I recently replaced a set of AMP Terrain Attack MTs off my F250. At the time I purchased them they were about $150/tire cheaper than the Toyos I'd run before and a similar tread pattern. I'd run them again without hesitation, I put over 50,000 miles on them, same as the Toyos and Coopers I had before, no weird wear, no chunks coming off, no complaints.

off brand All Terrain tires ?

I went with a set of Cooper Discoverer A/T from Walmart last time around. Size 265/70R17 were less than $125/each. I think these are the previous version of the popular AT3. I've been very happy with them.

I just bought a set of Sumitomo Encounter AT's from amazon, they ship to pep boys and for 20$/tire, they mount, balance and new valve stem if needed. Right now this is the smoothest tire set new I've had in the last three sets. Very quiet on highway. Encounter AT

This outfit owns Falken tires and doesn't have much brand recognition here yet.

I'm about to go from 33s to 35s on my old jeep, and the price of those coopers is very tempting.

Go to Sam's and check out the Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus rubber. I have had mine 15 months and am very satisfied with them. Plus you get unlimited free rotation AND balance lifetime. Most places do not cove balancing.

Check out Lancaster. I've been pleased with mine so far. I got the M/T and they do hum pretty bad but they ride good.

Toyo RTs on the Sierra and the Jeep. Between the AT and MT as far as aggressiveness. Not "cheap", but not the top dollar either. Have held up well. Rotate with each oil change.

I just bought Toyo OC ATII’s. I have a weird size tire which is one of the reasons it was so expensive but they’re going to run $1500.

Here me out.. The michelin all terrains are cheap compared to NITTO or BFG. Had them on my truck for 6 years and about 45k miles. Only complaint is that they have no aggressive looking sidewall. GREAT tire. No road noise whatsoever. They were about $1200. The Recons I just got were much more than that.

How weird of a size are we talking about?

An incredibly dumb question, but when replacing tires do y’all typically replace your spare (full sized) with a new tire as well or keep the one from the factory on?

For a road vehicle with stock size A/T tires it's fine to just keep your regular spare.

Now if you have a dedicated offroad vehicle or if you're a baw running 37's then definitely break that wallet out for a fifth tire and replace with a like size spare.

If you're considering Falken, look at Sumitomo, they own Falken and I put their encounter AT's on and love them so far.
