I didn’t want to go here, but we’re learning now that salt sensitivity/bp issues has more to do with the body’s inability to rid itself of sodium, which is caused by insulin sensitivity.
Telling people to just cut sodium is an antiquated mindset. But whatever.
I'd argue most U.S. doctors really don't have a clue what a good diet is. At one point, maybe still, refined carbs were supposed to make up most of your calories. Fake butter was promoted over real butter????
My opinion, stop eating at restaurants, cut fast food and processed food. Just eat whole foods. You will feel so much better. You'll never look back after a month of doing it.

You can't go wrong with any rub really. I always pull my meat around 190-195 depending on how big the slab of meat is. The bigger the sooner it comes off because it will continue to cook for hours after its pulled. I smoke at 210-225.
Here me out.. The michelin all terrains are cheap compared to NITTO or BFG. Had them on my truck for 6 years and about 45k miles. Only complaint is that they have no aggressive looking sidewall. GREAT tire. No road noise whatsoever. They were about $1200. The Recons I just got were much more than that.
I was hoping Kim was going to pull out the blue bell ice cream from her purse instead of a cigarette
Anybody know of a cheap(er) place to get fireworks? I’m in Baton Rouge but don’t worry, they will not be shot here in the city. TIA

Yeah I think I’m going to pass on the diesel and order a 2022. Thinking about getting it with the 6.2L. I have the 5.3 atm but looking to try the big boy

Google the price of injectors for that 2500 and get back with me. If its chump change to you, buy the diesel.
Yeah think I’ll order the 2022 …
To go with diesel or stay with gas…

I was looking at ordering a 2022 Silverado 1500. The wait is looking to be 3-4 months. Anyway I found a 2018 2500 hd with everything I’d like to have in a truck. I’ve never owned a diesel truck before and some things I read said that if you don’t tow heavy you can ruin the engine? I tow 5 days out of the week for lawn care but the mower only weighs 1200 lbs plus whatever the trailer weighs (not much). I don’t have a boat but there could be one in the future. Also how much in maintenance could I expect to spend a year on a diesel? Right now I basically just change my oil for my gasser and that’s it. Should I wait and get the 1500 or just go with the HD?
I think I’m just going to order this actually.
Amazon
Don’t know why I didn’t think of it. Not quite the amount of extra space I’d like but it’d save me hundreds

Depends on what Costco sells lol. I prefer them as a whole but more often they have the precut. I only get the precut if the bones are about 8-9 inches long still. Sometime they cut them to short.
I’d also like to smoke brisket more often but usually Costco only has $70 briskets. The $44 one I bought one time barely fit

I have a LBGE with the Ceramic Grill Store’s adjustable rig and regularly cook for 10-15 people.
Edit: I see the adjustable rig comes actually comes with a stone
Also, do you find yourself having to smoke the top or bottom rack longer than the other?

Are you looking to smoke more butts? More Brisket? More ribs? More of everything?
So the real “need” for more real estate is for when I smoke my short ribs. 5 large ones fit nicely on my large BGE. I love the flavor the charcoal gives them. I use the deflector plate though so I’m not sure if that’s actually the charcoal or smoke. I’ve never used a pellet smoker before. I could probably fit 7-8 of the ribs on there if I wanted to but I don’t want to crowd the grill and have them possibly touch the lid when it’s shut.

Get a bigger BGE
We have a large one atm. I need about 3x the amount of cooking space if I want to smoke for a small group of friends. And I love my bge but I can’t shell out $1k + for a luxury in this economy. The meat alone would cost me ~$150 for the cook. $600 is really all Id like to spend
Have you had a better experience with wood or charcoal?
I’m only used to charcoal with my bge (I use the deflector plate) but I’m currently looking at the traeger pro 34 pellet smoker on sale at Walmart for $625 from $750

Over the past 6 months I’ve gotten into smoking meats. I’ve slowly gotten better over this time and I’ve finally nailed what works best (for me). I have a BGE and it’s very limited -space- to how much you can do at a time. I need a smoker so any recs on brand and if any store has a sale on one at the moment?

So without watching, what oils does he recommend cooking with?
Generally The only oils you want to cook with/consume are olive oil, coconut, and avocado
And yeah those ingredients are completely “safe” by big pharma’s and the fda’s standard of course. A large portion of the food on US shelves are banned in Europe. Even the former head of the FDA has come out and said they are feeding us trash and to avoid a lot of stuff

The only ingredients in the zatarain’s crab seasoning “in a bag” are: mustard seed, coriander seed, cayenne pepper, bay leaves, dill seed, & allspice.
The others have monosodium glutamate, artificial flavoring, caramel coloring

Well once you actually cut out the standard American processed garbage and eat real food with no chemicals, it makes you feel like crap when you do eat that stuff. So that’s why I asked. Didn’t realize people would get the panties in a twist over a simple question. Geez
