I’ve been searching marketplace for live worms to try to “seed” my trees with no luck.
Look up 7 posts.

I dunno. I'm waaaaaaay out in the country with three trees my Grandfather and I planted back in the early 70s. They used-to-be covered up and they were our go-to catfish bait.
Not anymore.
And we've never seen mosquito spray out here in these parts.
Is anyone growing row crops around you? The pesticides they spray on row crops are more potent than the stuff the city sprays.

I’d like to try and grow some. I know of one good tree normally but this year no worms

Boy no kidding. We used to ride our bikes behind the spray truck because we liked the smell. And so far no tumors. Our moms preferred how we smelled in the summer after that ride than just plain sweat and testosterone. Kids are wimps today. But better humans.

I can bring whatever you order and pay for . I have frozen catalpa worms, pupa, live starter worms, seed packets, 3 sizes of trees and a book.
Did he mention prices on anything, or what size trees he'd have? Would love a couple out by my pond.

Those worms are caterpillars that turn into moths/ butterflies right? Assuming people don’t have worms due to the moth/ butterflies dying from the sprays? I bet if you ‘reseeded’ with frozen worms in the spring they’d come back?
ETA: there’s a guy selling catalpa trees and pupa on eBay for reasonable prices. Probably the same guy that was posted above. He sells pupa to reload your trees.

Correct. They turn into a sphinx moth. Which is also known as a hummingbird moth. Not pretty at all though. Grey colored.

I'm surrounded by peach orchards and chicken houses but no pesticide spraying that I know of. We don't use it on our orchards or our reaper crops.

I thought it might be the birds at one time ... but that's not it.
I believe it's fire ants.
I killed all the ants around ours and they started producing after 20 years of no worms

Only thing I asked about was seeds. 100 seeds for $15.

Anything from 4 inches to 4 feet.

I've got 2 trees out by my pasture that get worms every year. I probably have 200-300 in the freezer in corn meal. They haven't showed up yet this year. I usually don't start getting any until about mid June. I've had them eat the tree up and the leaves and them come back later in the summer.

Very interesting. Fire Ants aren't native right they are from Africa? So it could very well be that a non native predator is killing the worms off that came around in the past 30 or so years?

Growing up we had a few trees in my neighborhood that would get worms every single year. I still notice the trees all over the place, but I haven’t seen one with worms or chewed leaves in probably a decade. Is it the same where you live?
Heated ponds with corn up north is where they are!

I checked it out, looks like it had had some activity with leaves being eaten but no worms. Birds must have gottem them

Check out this guy I found on Facebook who sells trees and has his own Catalpa orchard in MS.
Bought some trees from Mr. Ron today when he made his road trip. Very nice fella and very knowledgeable. Clyde, thanks for making the post about him.

I've planted around 20 hybrid chestnuts at my place. My next project will be trying to increase my number of walnut trees. Have 6-8 mature trees but would like to get a bunch more.
Bought the chestnuts from here: Whitetail Hill Chestnuts
They are just across the state line in north Alabama. About 30 min from my land.

There are some survivor specimens of American Chestnut here and there. There are ongoing efforts to clone the survivors and/or genetically modify saplings from them to reintroduce a disease-resistant American Chestnut.
