Anyone see anything wrong with this safe? I’m wondering if it’s a discontinued model. Looks like it’s about 1/2 msrp of the ones on their site.
Anybody got experiences with Cannon v Liberty safes?
Forgot to add the link like a dumbass
Tractor supply link

I’ve got one like it and it does the job. Keep a heating rod in there and you can add a desiccant in there if you wish. I don’t open it much and it is kept in my basement. It’s just does not have the feel of a more expensive gun safe but it is okay!

Good to hear. I really don’t have to have the fit and finish, but don’t want a piece of shite.

Someone will be along to explain how it doesn’t stand up to attack like a $10,000 safe very soon. And that you are a dumb arse if you don’t buy a $10k safe. My thoughts are that any reasonable safe will stand up to the average burglar who happens upon it. On the other hand, If they are a pro or came there with tools because they know you have a safe then it doesn’t matter anyway.

this. almost any burglar that finds your safe, especially a 500+lb. safe, will move on to something else in your house.

also this, if they come for your safe specifically, they already know what's in it and will come prepared. but this is very rare.
i'm currently building a house and am thinking of upgrading my Stack-On locker to a Cannon or Liberty safe when i move in.

This is going to go in an inconspicuous closet under the stairs accessed from the garage. It should have less than an inch on each bordering wall so I feel pretty good about it. As long as the fire ratings there and it locks the guns up safely I really don’t care how pretty the inside door pocket looks.

Both Pepperidge and I have the 64 gun version of this safe.
Plenty of room. Door organizer comes with it. Great safe for the price.
As for Tractor Supply, I'll caution this... They keep their supply of safes outside, at least that's how it was at the Covington location where we got ours. Not sure if they're under some kind of overhead covering or something but they were not stored inside. They came wrapped in plastic inside a cardboard covering, however the bottoms are not protected and both his and mine had surface rust on the bottoms. Also the tops of the boxes were very weathered and you could tell the cardboard had gotten wet. If they will let you, I'd remove the packaging materials and fully inspect it before you load it up. Check for surface scratches and rust and find a way to lean it back to inspect the bottom.

All of them? Or just a few floor models? Covington has them on the floor, but when we went they didn't take the ones they gave us from the floor.

not sure about all of them, but they do have an inside stock area. the outside stock area is full of fencing material and feeding troughs.

these guys did it in under 2 minutes
Step 1. Bolt it to the floor. I'm not sure they could generate the torque required to do that if the step was vertical and not horizontal.
Also, how many crack heads carry around a giant pry bar when they break in a house?

Yeah this one will be bolted to the floor.
Really need it for curious kids and peace of mind for a fire.

I want to say they will put them on sale for cheaper than that. I'm in the market as well and plan on waiting until Black Friday or whenever they start their xmas deals. Ive seen this one for sale in the $600's

I've got a similar model also from Tractor Supply and I'm very happy with it. It also comes with Cannon's normal warranty which includes free replacement of the safe as a result of a natural flood. No other safe company (in this price range) offers that as warranty coverage.
In addition to bolting it to the floor, try to put the door hinges away from a wall. This limits the ability to use a pry bar on the door opening.
