Got mine from Big Country this morning. Many other sites I've checked are out of stock.

I've got one right when they first came out. Used it maybe 5 times. It's fun for the first couple of times then it's just a real quick waste of ammo. It got old quick.

Sure, I'll play a little when I get it, but it's more so to have and to keep.

For what exactly? I’m genuinely curious. Turn around a make a profit if they’re banned, just to have to be able to say you have one if they’re banned, or something else?

Never shot one but as other have said, just seems like a good way to waste ammo quickly, which means also means expensively. And I wouldn’t own something that I’m not going to use, not into having something just to have it, needs a purpose.

because.... the fact that they are legal and may have been used will give much needed ammo(pun intended) to the pro gun control folks.

I am a very pro 2nd amendment guy - and I have fired fully automatic a few times back about 30 years ago. At some point gun rights folks will have to make some concessions or face overwhelming opposition and political force - especially as our society rapidly continues to evolve into an urban/suburban society of non gun owners.

As long as these stocks are legal to own, I will defend your right to own one. But I would say the timing of your post is poor. There's a very good chance that someone who visits this board may have had a loved one injured or possibly killed by a this nut job using one of these stocks. There's little doubt it greatly increased the carnage if that is what he was using to get the full auto effect. I get your excited about your purchase, but how about we wait a while to give some people time to get over this tragedy. This kind of insensitive rhetoric only furthers the anti gun lobby's cause.

I have 80 acres to play on. I like shooting my AR for target practice out there. Been interested in the bump stock, but I've put off.

Because something gives gun control folks a talking point is not a reason to make something illegal.

There will always be something they latch on to and focus on, whether it be "assault rifles, high capacity mags, automatic weapons...

They will keep coming after your guns, whether you give concessions or not. There is not a point where you can give up enough for them to be satisfied. It never ends.

Ok, this you completely pulled out of your arse. Events like these have led to more people than ever owning firearms. Lots of people in the urban areas and the suburbs own guns. Why wouldn't they?

I understand what you're saying. Not excited about my purchase. I just happened to want it. That's all.

I’ve had one for a while now, shot 3 mags through it when I got it. It worked surprisingly well, but the barrel got red hot real fast. Said “that’s neat” and haven’t shot it since
