1. Maybe I misread your OP, but I didn't see a single question asking for any type of advice.

True Story - He did it as a joke though

I snatched a "Private Drive" sign when I was in college.
Ten years later when I was having people come in my drive because it looked like a public street I nailed it to the telephone pole at the end of my drive. Couple of months later somebody else stole it. I just grinned and told the wife that I hope they put it to good use.

Your dad is a thief and you think you own water on a public waterway.

Anyone else calling bullshite to this?

And to the OP, you can rest assured, if EF is on you're side, you are most assuredly on the wrong side.

EF is the Vandy Whistler of the OB.

There you go, trying to round up your clique members for support. Cannot stand alone.

My old man lives on a lake in Louisiana and has placed three large brush piles near his dock in about 15’ of water so he can just use the trolling motor to get to them(he’s old). So jackarse has posted up on them and has been fishing two of them almost daily after work. This isn’t a highly trafficked area and he has to know that they are man made. My old man is irritated but too nice to ask him to chill out. I’m thinking I’m going to have to run his arse off them.

If they're in a public lake or the guy has access to a private lake that they are in they do not belong to anyone. I get that your dad is older and isn't able to run and gun all over the lake to fish but the brush piles don't belong to anyone. It may work too talk to the guy...he might be a decent sort who just so happened to find feeding fish and, like anyone would do, caught them. Your dad is probably not comfortable talking to him because your dad is older and probably not as confident as he once was but if you speak to the guy in a non-confrotational way and explain why the brush is there he may leave gladly and stay away. I know if it were me I would or I would at least stay off of them most of the time LOL depending on how the bite was elsewhere.

ETA: brush piles by docks are the easiest ones to find

Truth. With modern electronics it ain't possible to keep a spot private...if it is where fish ought to be someone other than the person who set it out knows where it is. I don't even try to hide them no more...I used to set them out at night in the dead of winter. I still do sometimes but I also will put them out at 2 PM on July 4th if I have some to put out because there ain't no secrets with modern electronics. Most fisherman now spend about half or more of the their time on the water graphing....it pays off because in an 8 hour day on the water you can find fish today and fish next month....

But bbvd must still look in the mirror every day. He has to deal with his place in life. This computer forum does not last 24/7. He must face reality every day. He knows. He knows.
