You have a Browning Hi Power which is a legendary firearm and John Browning's last handgun design (he died before it was finished). They don't get much publicity these days but have always been quality.

Here's some reading on the Hi Power

The Browning Hi Power is the last salute to one of the best gun designers in history. I have unfortunately never shot one but look forward to the day that I do.

The only gripe I have about them - magazine disconnect safety. They may not all have it and maybe it's removable, but I'm not a fan of them.

Besides that, the Hi Power is a beautiful pistol. I would hold on to it!

I think Browning has discontinued some (a lot?) Hi Powers. I'd shoot it a time or two, and then put it in your safe.

The Glock you have is a much better CCW piece.

The Hi Power is probably the best semi auto 9mm of all time.

I started a thread about this awhile back.

Browning was making them this year. However if you go their 'historical firearms' section that shows out of production Brownings, all the Hi Powers are listed.

Who knows what that means?

A friend of mine has one and I have shot it. It is the best feeling pistol that I've ever fired. Congratulations.

Ohh, im definitely not going to sell it. Ill probably do what a previous poster said, and shoot it a few time, clean it, and lock it up.
