Little is known about the composition of the fuel. Thru vigorous research i've found out that it is Alkylate Fuel.
Aspen Fuel
I'm guessing this is why such a long shelf life for these fuels.
Alkylate fuel vs. Premium unleaded

Aspen Fuel
quote:
Alkylate petrol = environmental petrol What we refer to in everyday language as environmental petrol is alkylate petrol. The name comes from the word alkylation, which is the name of the process used to extract the raw product. From gas to liquid The alkylation process takes place at oil refineries through surplus gases from the crude oil distillation and cracking plant being mixed. The result is a liquid (alkylate) which is the purest extractable petroleum product. The alkylate is then mixed with a number of other components and we now have a finished product - the Aspen alyklate petrol, ready to be used in most small engines.
I'm guessing this is why such a long shelf life for these fuels.

Whatever it is, I dig it.

This here. I've never had small engines run so well and crank on the first few pulls, until i started using trufuel.
I'll never go back as long as they are making it or something similar.

I agree. I'm running the 50:1 Truefuel in a Stihl edger and Echo weedwacker and both start on the second pull every time. Very impressed.

It pains me to spend $6 every other time I cut my grass. I can just feel the dollars pouring out

I got 5 full edge/weedwacks with one can. I can live with that.

i'm planning to use TruFuel only at seasons end. No need in running it full time. Non-Eth gas won't hurt the carb unless it sits for any amount of time.

My yard is like 1.5 acres, so it isnt huge. If i were working 5+ acres im not sure i'd spend the extra money on trufuel. But 1 $6 can (some brands are $5) will last me 3-4 mows for a weedeater and edger.
I'm good with that.
It's better than the crap gas i can buy around my place.

Define better. If you are running a machine everyday or for long periods of time on a regular basis, it's not necessarily better.

All my small engines run like a champ on regular non-ethanol. This is cute though...

I weed whack 3 acres and I can do it with one half can of the Husqvarna equivalent in my 322L. I don't drain fuel when I store it for the winter months and it starts first pull every time. That alone is worth it to me.

A good friend is the store manager of the local Lowe's here. He attributes this to their campaign against ethanol fuel. For a long time, they had signs every where in the store telling customers ethanol free only. Then the farmers threatened to sue and they took them down

I have a shite ton of obstacles on my lot. Usually two cuts is one can. I go through about 3/4 tank of fuel in my Toro mower each cut

Yep, I'm even running it in the truck and it's like the Tacoma grew another cylinder.

This is what I do.. I have about 3/4 of an acre lots of trees / fence / and concrete, so lots of trimming and blowing. From Spring to Early fall its normal mix for me. Around October I switch to Trufuel mix.
I also run stabil in my 5 gallon can year round.
