Shot one yesterday. On some of our land we're having some timber cut.
Anyway, shot one on the road, drove on to do some cameras and feeders. Figured I'd stop on the way back and push it in the ditch. Came back, no hog, figure it most have rolled in to the ravine on it's own.
Fast forward to today. Timber guy came by the house, asked if we were missing a hog and apologized because he had grabbed it. Turns out he was about 30 minutes behind me, saw the hog on the ground, it felt warm, so he guts it and takes it home.
He said as a rule he doesn't let his crews bring guns to work. I told him frick that, kill them all.

No, it is a round trap with a spring loaded swing door triggered by a trip wire. If you want I can email you a video of the construction.
