Y'all need your eyes checked. If the cat is the same distance it would be a huge house cat. It is further than the deer which means it will be smaller in the picture. Therefore it is larger than any house cat gets. Just super impose the cat on top of the deer.

That is exactly how this works.

Two objects of the same size at different distances. Take a picture. Then cut the objects out with scissors. One cutout will big larger than the other.

The cat is well behind the deer. So it will shrink in size in a picture relative to the deer.

Even without allowing for this affect the cat is already at the upper ends of a house cat if not already to large.

I can't remember the exact name of what the phenomena is called, but humans when we see something we instantly and subconsciously judge it to determine what it is. When we see things for short times the mind still races to give an answer to what it just saw. Hence, this is why sasquatches, black cougars, and trash bag black bears on I-49 occur so often.

Our mind is calculating an answer based on a very short snippet of information and often times wrongly calculating.

Everyone understands the concept of perspective. What you’re struggling with is false perspective. The foodplot narrows considerably where the cat is, making it look longer. The cat isn’t nearly as far behind the deer as you think it is, and judging by the broomsage it isn’t even a particularly big house cat.

Ok, The black cougar discussed in this video was spotted again saturday.
Not kidding. Two witnesses. It was crouched in the middle of a private road in central Mississippi. Quote from witness, "Jet Black" "Looked about Three times the size of a house cat." The witness believes it is a young black cougar.

My personal opinion is Optical illusion of a large house cat.

The Shiloh Road I am talking about is West of Hwy 61,near the Big Black River in Claiborne County

Yes, Both of these sightings were on the same deer lease in Claiborne County.
But east of hwy 61.
20 miles east of 61

Compare the size of the cat to the deer. Then recognize that the cat is well beyond the deer. Tisn't a house cat that is for sure.

Am I missing the main video in this link? You never get to see the cat and the deer in the screen at the same time.
