Do they happen to live near Shiloh Road?

1. There have never been any confirmed black cougars.

2. panther does not refer to a specific species of large cat.

3. Leopards and Jaguars are well known to have black versions.

He is a link to a video of a large black cat in Alabama.

Compare the size of the cat to the deer. Then recognize that the cat is well beyond the deer. Tisn't a house cat that is for sure.

No they do not live close to there if you are talking about the road southeast of Jackson. They are further south and west from there a good bit.

Yes I know you are asking tcade.

I would think they do see black but its because of shadows and dim lighting. I've seen pics of "black" panthers from out west where they all the sudden become brown when they get closer or they step into the sunshine.

So then I assume you believe that is some random jaguar or leopard roaming around Alabama?

Jesus, some people.

That video, like so many others, doesn't prove anything about the size of that cat. Look at the height of the grass that it walks off through at the 0:33 mark--unless that is some really tall grass, that isn't a big cat.

That is closer but not next door close. That is the most I will say since I don't feel comfortable giving out info they may not want divulged.

Wow, you are the "some people" not me.

I posted a couple of facts and a video, but you instead of commenting on the video roll your eyes at me.

Did I make any claims about what the video contains? NO.

You mad an ASSumption.

Judging by the number and quality of the bucks, combined with a large black cat, I would suspect that this is high fence place that has a intentionally released leopard.

Just a guess that I assume is probably incorrect. I don't have enough info to say other than it is not a cougar due to color and not a house cat due to size.

I made no claims of proof of anything. That is a page I made years ago. How about you tell us our thoughts on the video?

The cat has been seen at least 4 times in the last 8 months in this area, thats the only reason I was asking.Someone might even have some very good daylight pictures of him.

As a friend of mine says,

“Whats the first clue that someone who says they saw big foot is wrong?”

Answer “they say they saw Bigfoot!”

Ditto for black panthers.

Did you miss the part where I said there is nothing about that video that proves that is a large cat?

You clearly didn't, because you quoted my entire post.

The size of the cat in relation to the deer proves that it is to big to be a house cat.

The size of the cat in relation to the grass it walked through begs to differ...

That isn't grass like your lawn that is a food plot.

If that is a house cat then the deer is the size of a house cat also.

I'm not talking about in the food plot. I'm talking about on the edge of it.

Besides, the grass in that food plot isn't tall either. You can see it very clearly in relation to the deer that it isn't even above his ankles. That grass is very much like a lawn, but the grass that the cat walks through when leaving the food plot isn't, but it isn't very tall either.

Yet, it's a house cat.
