First I've ever heard of this.
I bought a pair of Crossfire binos 3 years ago when they were on sale. The very next day, the Diamondbacks went on sale for the same price. Emailed them about swapping--they did it with no problem. Had the binos in less than a week.

My boy wants a pair for hunting. Would you recommend these? I’m assuming they are small enough to carry in a chest rig or something? I’ve also ordered from optics planet before without any issues, so no worries there for me.

This was an issue during the ammo run. They would list ammo as in stock and sell it without actually having any.
I’ve ordered plenty from them with no issues

I've had that experience, as well. At the time, it looked like they were advertising very attractive prices for products that weren't in stock. Maybe they've cleaned up thier act, but nowadays, I look at their site only to price check. Good luck. Keep us updated.
