on a side note, my first cousin caught a 15 & 3/4 pounder on Caney Lake....The state record at the time. Sad thing about the deal is he had to let his older brother claim it b/c he was supposed to be at work. True story.

I've caught 10 over 8+ pounds all in Guntersville Lake the last two years.
Biggest fish I ever caught though was when I was 6 years old fishing at a little lake in Cullman, Alabama, and I thought I got hung on a log, so I screamed for my dad to come help and when he got there and put pressure on it the fish started to move and he just handed me the rod and let me real it in.
I weighed 26 pounds at the time and the Bass weighed 13.4 lbs.

4.8 caught it in a cow pond that probably had never been fished. it was in the middle of a pasture and i stood on a fricking washing machine to cast.

Here's another pic of my best. I'm trying to get a weight on it. What do you think Alx? And this isn't me with that Ole Siss hat on. And he didn't know how to hold a nice sized fish.

Looks like it dropped her eggs, so with that I'd give it a 7.5-9ish, heavy on the 7.5 side though.

Not a huge bass but my personal best. Probably in the 4 lb range. Private pond in Picayune MS.

No offense, but if that fish was 4.5 mine had to be close to 11lbs.

I've caught many smallmouth as I grew up very close to Pickwick and also in Florence on the river. Your 4.5lbs is 2.5 at best.

Sorry dude. I've caught many 4lbs and have seen many 6+lbs caught. They don't look like that, they would be much thicker at the tail.
