How much do yall think she weighed? I guess around 8-9.... Maybe more? Didn't get her mounted because the landowner wanted her to stay in his pond, so I said "ok dude", and released her.

ETA: And I've caught a nice 7 pounder, had pictures but I think they're at the parentals house. I thought I was hung when she hit the Chatterbait, then I saw my line slowly move left and I flipped my shite. I was knee deep in the water to land her in my work boots. It was in the middle of a hot arse summer day while on my lunch break. Also caught many many many 5-6 pounders.

Slot fish in Lake Fork. Needed another inch out of it to keep it, or to weigh it in for the tournament. Went a little over 7lbs.

I live in a large community with a number of private ponds. The bass fishing is superb in central Florida and I've caught several over 8 lbs, a few over 9 lbs, and missed 11 lbs by only a few ounces last Spring. All caught and released and caught from the bank without a boat. You had to experience it to believe it, this year the neighborhood has filled in and the fishing has declined. I hope it bounces back!

before this summer my biggest was a 4 pounder...caught when i was 7 years old in a private pond on christmas day

went on a guided trip to choke canyon this summer....latched onto a 5 pounder....before i could jump to the bottom of the boat to put my hands on her, our guide grabbed it...looked at it...said it was around 5 or 6...then threw it back into the water

i was in shock for a few minutes...he didn't know what was wrong until i told him he just threw back the biggest bass i had ever caught without me being able to take a picture of her

No, and yes I know it looks short.... The damn thing was thick. I've got a picture of it on the scale on the digital camera if I can find the sd card.

I'm saying the bogagrip read 4 pounds 5 ounces. You realize small mouth don't get the same weight/length ratio that large mouth do right?

My brother caught a 9.8 lb bass out of a pond in St. Tammany Parish on a white zoom trick worm.

I made my biggest of 5.5 look like a dwarf

Your own pics don't make sense... no offense. Are you telling me that largemouth is only 2 lbs bigger than that small mouth?

No. I have never caught a small mouth. And have no idea about how much they weigh or size. It just looked pretty funny to the bass that have been posted on this thread. for me I guess....

Well trust me. Try one sometime. A 3lb smallie fights like a 10lb large mouth. Spotted bass put up a better fight than a regular large mouth imho too.
