The biggest largemouths I have caught didn't give me any kind of fight. I'm not kidding. It was like reeling in a dead log in my experience.

Best largemouth I've caught on a beetlespin was 3 lber on an ultra light rod. Thought I had a fricking monster.

Nope, two of my best largemouths was in the heat of the summer. 7 pounder I landed felt like I was hung, then the line moved a little, and I slowly reeled her in. No fight, no jumping on top of the surface like a typical bass.

Thats just sad. Normally the big fish will put up a decent fight.

Not really. I landed a great largemouth that I will talk about for the rest of my life. It wasn't one of those "man, I had a 12 lb bass and it broke my line story"

I'm not hating man. I just highly doubt that small weighed that much.

Eh not bothering me.

What would you guess the weight of this smallie to be? My dad seems to catch a ton more than me.

I've seen a few smallies weighed in at Texoma. They always weighed way more than I would have thought.

Hey man, ease up. A lot of people think fish are bigger than they really are... that's the beauty of a fishing story.

If he thinks it was the state record so be it... the pic speaks for itself.
