All they need is photos and measurements.
OP has both.
But congrats to him on the bass, no one ever catches 9+ lbers.

Everyone is happy for the guy, no doubt it's a beautiful fish.
The other posters are just making a very valid point. They began doing replica mounts so that these beautiful fish can be released back into the fishery to grow and spawn. Period.
I don't have much of a problem with keeping large bass to make a skin mount, but when the guy comes and brags ab harassing her on her bed 3 days straight and then ab how she's full of eggs, then of course he's gonna catch shite from people on here.

I'm not getting into it. If you don't agree with what he did, congratulate him and move on.
There are places other than where a man is bragging about his catch to discuss that stuff. The man caught a fish and did nothing illegal and he's proud of it and wants to show it off. No need to piss on his parade.

I have caught 1 bass over 9 and she hangs on my wall and will be the last trophy bass I mount. I've caught multiple 7s since and happily released them
