Honda Pioneer 700 or 1000. Dump bed and alternative rear seating. 700 will probably suffice for your needs, but the 1000 is a MACHINE. I use a 700 and 1000 almost daily and they are fantastic pieces of equipment. If you get the 700 go with the deluxe, it has power steering.

We like the Kawasaki Pro cause you can slide the back row forward for a longer bed when you don't need the two full rows.

I have been very happy with the Landmaster
We have not been kind to it and it keeps on ticking

How is the suspension in comparison to the Polaris Ranger?
I notice it also doesn’t have alot of ground clearance compared to the Polaris. But I’ve had nothing but Honda’s and they are so dependable.

Bought mine new in 2022 from ATV Zone. Couldn’t be happier, hunting 1000 acres in Central, MS, to having another couple jump in the back to cruise the beach in Grand Isle. Zero issues, just wish it had a little bigger fuel tank.

Put new plugs in it and go run the tits off of it for a bit.
Mine was always good for 125ish miles to a tank.

I'll sell you a 2015 RZR 900S for $8,500. Has a bed, can go through mud, is a Polaris and reliable.

Polaris had the best ride, until Kawasaki came out with their Pro series. Those 2 are by far the best ride quality, in my experience.

There is a reason they are the #1 Utv sold
A few reasons. The number one being comfort. There comes a point where you're just tired of getting beat up when putting time on them.
The second, payload. A ranger and a viking both can haul 1000 lbs in the bed. But the reality is the ranger does it and drives normally.
At a certain point I don't care if it can drive 50k miles with little maintenance. And with everyone using more and more chinese components (looking at you yamaha and honda) the reliability difference isn't what it should be anymore.
If I could have a 25 ranger 1000 made by mid 90s honda... I'd do it. But mid 90s honda isnt even making new Honda.

Yea I think it’s between the Polaris Ranger and the Honda Pioneer. One I think has a reputation for dependability while the other has a reputation for better suspension and higher ground clearance. And Honda of Lafayette service dept is so easy to work with and closer than whoever the Lafayette Polaris Dealership is

Curious that no one has mentioned can am yet. I’ve ridden all of them. The versatility and smaller size of the Honda is nice, the comfort of the Polaris is great. But none of them are as durable as a defender. They are pricy, and may be more than what OP needs based on description, but everyone in Arkansas either gets ride of their Polaris or wishes they did to move over to a can am

I always love when someone hasn't been burned by BRP yet

The problem with Can-Am is that it will either be as reliable as a German anvil or.... A steaming hunk of shite. There is no in between.

You can read about any of them on the internet.
Polaris is #1 and everyone else is playing catch up

Kawasaki mule pro DXT with the 993cc diesel engine.

Seems like someone has something bad to say about all of them except Honda.

I have a 2015 Honda Pioneer 500. I have installed power steering and Walker Evans shocks. It rides like a Cadillac now. It does fit in the back of a pickup. I'd look at the 520 as it comes with a truck bed. For two people riding, you can't beat it. If you want a 4 person ride get the 700-4 or 1000. But you'll need a trailer. Pretty sure they sell Walker Evans shocks for them also.

Kawasaki Mule is a good one. Plenty of power Very smooth ride and extremely dependable with basic up keep. Id get another one today if I was in the market no doubt

I just don't feel like typing that much.

I have owned all four honda side by sides.
The only one I would purchase a second time is the smallest two man pioneer.

Excellent choice. I had a few 500s. Didn't do the walker evans, did forward and rearward A-arms with 28s. The change in suspension geometry worked wonders for the ride. And the larger tires brought the gearing closer to the foreman, so it shifted a lot better.
Parted ways with them when my niece turned one over in a rut. Nothing bad, the lack of suspension travel just turned what should have been a slightly bruised wrist into a roll over. Not the machines fault, just wasn't comfortable with letting others drive them anymore.
