I use red hot. They’re all good but you need to use them 3/4 times a year.

Any thin synthetic oil on the casting bearings, then I use grease on the slower moving parts (internal gears, etc). There’s as much fishing reel snake oil out there as there is in the gun lube market.

I use whatever I am using on my guns, grease and oil.

I don’t know about the best but, I use the Lucas reel lube.

Synfilm from Royal Purple. Originally did it for key clients as a "gift". Was so good and popular they ended up selling it. Fantastic stuff.
You can get it from Summit Racing for about $4. You will not regret it.

Whichever brand you decide to use, use very little.

Also use synthetic gun oil.

Make sure you do not put grease on any bearing or friction point for the spool. Use a light oil only.

Royal Purple Synfilm or Lucas synthetic gun oil. Both work great.

I used to use Hot Sauce and it worked well. Now I just give them the occasional once over with Reel Magic and let 'em bump.
