Yeah. Dickies work pants are way more lighter and breathable than denim jeans. I wear Dickies coveralls when working on my farm in the summertime.
Depending on what you're doing, you can unzip the coveralls and catch a good breeze to your upper body.

I wear military camo pants when working.
Baggy but tough and durable.

What kind of work do you do? Obviously, if it is in a hazardous environment, you are not going to want to go with any flammable, synthetic materials. Otherwise, thinner stretch jeans are going to be a little cooler than regular jeans.

Kuhl Radikl
I was given a pair of these a couple years ago and liked them so much I went out and bought another 4 pair; now I never wear denim jeans any more. They're not cheap but they're more durable than I expected them to be.

I've switched to Columbia PFG or similar pants in the summer. If you can get away from wearing jeans, they make a huge difference to me.

Haven't worn jeans in years. Wear ripstop pants that are made like jeans with a pocket for my phone. I have Wrangler Riggs technician pants, Riggs Ranger and Wrangler rip-stop cargo's.
I wear Tractor supply's Blue Mountain ripstops that cost $15 around the house.

Wrangler has some very lightweight pants in their ATG line. All terrain gear.
It's what I wear doing yard work.

Not jeans but the only work pants I wear in summer is columbia blood and guts. Way cooler than any other pants I’ve worn.

, maybe something from Kuhl

working summers in construction, wearing jeans never bothered me. I could sweat all day in them to the point of being soaking wet and I’d shrug it off. Nowadays I can barely wear jeans at all, even in winter.
I am the same way. Just the feeling of blue jeans touching my fricked up knees bothers me. If I have to wear long pants for any reason they will be very light up against my knees

Go "Old School" and take a pair of scissors to your old Wrangler or Lee jeans and do the "cut offs" of the 60's and 70's look.
