Agreed, but you have to pay for all those flooded corn fields somehow.

There’s better places to spend your money than HF and their food is terrible.

Gordon does have a place but it’s probably not something he is going to advertise to the public. It’s a trailer where the farm hands stay when they are cutting rice but otherwise stays vacant. It probably has a healthy rodent population but if you are good with sitting by a fire, sitting on a porch, and hanging outside all day it is perfect. Sleeping is probably throwing a cot down with a sleeping bag. Our camp is right next to it.

Mer Rouge....his dad was good people. I felt sorry for him after he told us some stories while drinking around the fire.

Went for 3 days.

3 of the hunts I never took my gun off of safety.

I know a couple others who have been to Habitat Fkats and never fired a shot. They said they saw more mallards than they ever seen in their life but didn’t shoot any

I think Tony V just likes to see how many he can hold

Came here to post the same thing. Please don't confuse Colby Daniels at Top Gun with Johnny Wink.

I’ve got a friend that goes multiple times a year. We spoke about CR for a while the other day. They limited every hunt, some days they had to fill bags with whistlers.

Fixed it for ya. OK and KS gets worse and worse every year.

This year going to be interesting with the lowest rice acreage since the early 70's with most of that decrease coming from Ark

don't think it'll help the ducks in LA but might help some more specklebellies come further south to LA

I’m looking to book a few guided trips for the 2026/2027 season. Willing to go anywhere in the above states. Of course killing ducks is the top priority. A good meal and bed is also part of the fun.

Lost Island in Ark but have waiting list and they don't have lodge but serve you breakfast

Slick's has a nice lodge but the hunting could be hit or miss

North Delta outfitters in Bootheel has nice lodge and i've heard hunting is pretty good consistently

Interesting. I haven't really heard anybody say a whole lot negative about Top Gun/Colby although I have never hunted with him. I did use him for some off duty security when he was with the Troop but that was years ago and all of that was very professional on his end Everyone I know that has hunted with him says he runs a pretty solid operation but I guess every outfit has a bad day.

Canada has been a joke. tons of small juvey birds with no plumage color to kill. But all in all was not what i expected at all. Oklahoma has been straight fire i missed last year but i will not this season.

If you wait till early October, they start to show some color. About 60/40 Green. Also, you must not goose hunt or have shite places to access. The goose hunting where we go is obscene.
