Best Duck outfitters/lodges across Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, & Mississippi?

I’m looking to book a few guided trips for the 2026/2027 season. Willing to go anywhere in the above states. Of course killing ducks is the top priority. A good meal and bed is also part of the fun. TIA

Even Canda gets worse every year.
The ourfitters up there have turned into the mafia. I have been threatened, intimidated, blocked, etc. Everything short of having my tires slit. But that wouldn't surprise me.
The Canadian government is revising regulations every year to tighten up on DIY hunters from the US. Pretty soon you will have to go through an licensed outfitter. (They're not saying that yet but you can read between the lines).

Yea, at this point it is blatantly obvious the population is way down. Yet the all mighty dollar still has them not doing anything on limits and season lengths.

Always had a good time @ Doug’s Hunting Lodge in Klondike, La. Good food, good company, great hunting.
I’m not sure if it’s still operating, I think Mr Doug passed away a few years ago…

They had another guy take it over but not sure if he is still running. Doug was good people and hunting in that area was outstanding. The most consistent and best hunting property I have ever had was back there.

Honey Brake and Dave’s Bayou have the best lodges with best hunting in Louisiana. Adequate to above average lodges with very good hunting award staying in state goes to Hackberry Rod and Gun and Top Gun. I hunt with several outfitters on the Eastside of Houston, TX. Fin and Fowl and Central Flyway are legit with lodging. You didn’t ask for OK but I lump AR and Okie together. Most guided hunts there can be nutkicks and you are out a small fortune and then have that drive home to think about it. The best bang for the buck is still Canada.

Man, I know Top Gun is a board favorite but I had a very shite experience there. That was a long time ago.
Gordon Markel is who I would use in that area but they don't have a lodge.
I have fished with Hackberry R&G and had a good experience.
OP I don't go on paid hunts where I am paying anymore unless it's MX, Canada, or the west coast.
I am going to OK and TX this year as a guest and a 10 day public marathon in KS.

I recommend you look at Tornado Valley Outfitters website, south Oklahoma and Kansas, they’ve had some pretty strong seasons even with duck numbers down.

We used coastal wings Jan 22, overall poor experience. Birds were non existent, think Golden Corral food would’ve been better (never ate at Golden Corral).
Would’ve preferred to forfeit my two deposits and skip the experience.
I think US Fish is going to ride the bird numbers down to catastrophic levels before limits/days are reduced. It’s going to make the 3/30 days look tame.

I agree, a group of my family went down to MX last year. They have been going for about 15yrs. Shooting ducks down there is like shooting doves, limitless. Worse they have ever seen it and even scratched on a hunt which has never happened before.

Yea agree the population is way down and they don’t want admit. They don’t want to lose the money coming in.
Plus they don’t want to lose all the money the young flatbill voodoo muffler hunters are also bringing in. Companies like Gatortail are making a killing off these kids!
