Fellow truss guy here. Past few months have sucked.
I could eat the jalapeño relish with a spoon… tried the batchelor and the duck BLT, both were amazing!
I’ve been on one tuna trip this year and it was the best one I’ve had in a few years. Caught our limit. A couple charter captains commented that we kept too many…Pretty comical. I fully support the charter Buisness too.

Gun room build

Posted by Mmackl1 on 8/4/25 at 12:22 pm
Alright OB, I need some expertise from the resident gun nuts. Helping some buddies build a camp and they decided to add a gun room. Walls are full filled CMU, close enough to exterior to get a drain to plumb into the sewer system for a dehumidifier so I think I have most of that covered.

I think I am going to strip the walls with 2x4 on flat and then sheath them with 5/8 ply and the cover them with the gray carpet to look like a large safe. What other items (racks, etc) are good to add into this? What ventilation do you bring in from outside?
Hot Tails owner beats Bobby Flay

Here is an old episode where local Hot Tails owners beat Bobby Flay with Gumbo.

Pretty cool to watch.

re: 4 plex construction cost

4 plex will require sprinklers and 1 unit may have to have to meet ADA requirements which affects grading, parking, ramps etc. along with interior changes.

Pro tip…Townhomes do not. We self performed a couple recently in Livingston and ran into these issues. PM me with any questions.

Shake the can well and put it warm water in the sink for it to function the best.

I have a couple of buddys that are incredible camp chefs (one is actually a professional chef)

Fresh wood duck and sweet potato gravy was my top wild game dish that I’ve ever had. Close second was elk backstrap sauce piquant that we cooked over the fire.
Buddy has one, hit the mile target on his 3rd attempt.

Located in prarieville, boat is in grand isle. I need it to be custom because I want to utilize the space in the slide out area.

Custom fiberglass cooler

Posted by Mmackl1 on 4/21/24 at 3:49 pm
Anyone know of a shop or someone who can build a custom fiberglass cooler? Buddy’s new boat has a slide out cooler and it’s not nearly big enough so I’m going to get something custom built to give us more room.

Sunday brunch menu!
They must have increased the non caking agent. This made everyone in the kitchen sneeze a couple times we used a new batch of a friend’s seasoning and the place had mixed it with too much of the agent.

Hot Tails in Prarieville and you can get them at the drive thru. I know they have them Thursday Friday and saturdays starting at 5. You won’t be disappointed.
Tiles are popping up like a teepee. Doesn’t appear to be moisture around baseboards, this is in a living room/hallway. Will check with moisture meter when I get back from vacation. Tiles have been installed for about 11 or 12 years. Within the past year several of the tiles have come loose but none have popped up in compression.

Any thoughts? Tree root, water leak?

Shoot me an email.

I have some crews over there and could help you out.
