Bodyguard hands down. Tenifer slide, adjustable sights, slide lock that actually locks back after the last round, actual warranty and a laser. The down side is they are practically impossible to actually get, the wait list is extreme.

She likes it, but I wouldn't carry it or shoot it unless I absolutely had to. Trigger pull is obnoxious.

Buds had them yesterday, but already gone.

After doing a little research it seems that Ruger LCPs are available for about $350. The other modeals mentioned in this thread seem to be at least twice the cost right now. Unless it's a complete piece of shite I'm gonna be buying a Ruger soon. I even saw some on GB with Crimson lasers for right at $400

I've seen them without the lasers for under $300.

I Have a kel-Tec .380. Not a lot of fun to shoot, but I could hit at the likely ranges. It does hide real easy with a blackhawk pocket holster. Very light and feels good until you shoot it. The trigger is a long pull and that gun is so light it is as I said not fun to shoot.
Beats the old Loricin I've had for about 15 years. Now THAT is a jewel!

Buddy of mine in Alexandria just texted me a pic of his Sig P238 he just bought. It's nice and he paid $575 for it.

Karh 380's are the backup weapon of choice among the U.S. Marshal's service. I know a bunch of those guys and all of them have recently switched to them as their backup weapons. They really seem to like them. I've not shot one yet but, I will eventually get around to it.

That's a good deal on the 238

I'm going to jump in this thread even though I' m not a gun guy like a lot of you. I wanted a carry gun and asked a freind of mine who is a LA State Trooper for advice. He told me that in his opinion the best gun to buy considering size, quality, price, and caliber is the .380 Bersa Thunder.

Slickback has one of those

My Ruger LC9 is probably the same size as the Bersa and the ammo is cheaper. I want a Kahr P380 with the Crimson Trace for concealment.

I looked at all of the pocket guns when trying to find what I liked. Of the .380s I liked the bodyguard, but found the .38 bodyguard to fit my hand better and liked the revolver more.

Bapple, how'd your dad get ahold of one? Didn't think they were available yet.

He has the P380. He bought it locally at LA Gun and Reloading and got a decent deal on it because it sat behind their counter for so long.
I recommend the CW380 even though my dad has the P380. It follows the same line of logic that I used when I bought my Kahr CM9 - I can't justify the larger price tag for the PM series.

Are they out yet? What's the difference?

I've known a number of people w/ the Bersa Thunder 380. They spoke highly of it. My objection to it relates to it's size. My personal thoughts are that a 380 is most appropriate as a pocket gun. OTOH, I think the Bersa is too big to fit well in most pockets. If I have to carry a gun on a belt its going to be chambered in at least 9mm.
