Fold a cover G4 elite, you can lock the front and back, 98% waterproof. But it does not flip up on back window which some people like, I can remove mine in less than 3 minutes. Sits on top of bed not flush.

Are any of them waterproof?

They only ones that will be 100% water proof are the one piece designs that go over the edge of the bed.

like this

I have the backflip top model. it leaks in a heavy rain but its minor

On that link you sent, when I put in 2016 Ford, the only options are F250 and F350, not a F150. Will keep searching though.

Edit: Found it not in the search, but select Ford and scroll thru options.

No way!!! I had a Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit & it leaked like a sieve. Bakflip G2 for the win IMO.

I think he is talking about the one I mentioned. It is aluminum panels covered in vinyl.

Just put on a BAKFLip MX4. Easy install, looks good, when the tailgate is locked its locked. You will get a little water in the bed.

The rubber seal never has gotten caught on mine. It's one piece like a squeegee. And mine has never got water in it unless I go through a car wash and even then it's minimal

How easy is it to completely remove MX4? I haven't put a cover on mine because I need to remove often

That FoldACover looks very promising. Going to look at the Bakflip G2 as well.

I have the undercover flex which is a tweaked copy of the Bakflip.

I like it. Would recommend.

I had the fold a cover G4 elite on my 13 f250. I liked it, it worked well for 3 years. I even had the toolbox that goes under the front section, I never used the toolbox as much as I thought I would and it just added an extra layer to getting the cover off. I went with the backflip mx4 on the new truck. I rarely need the whole bed but it is much easier to fold the mx4 up against the back glass than remove the whole fold a cover, If i wanted to remove th fold cover I had to remember to do it at home before I went to fill up the truck with whatever.

I have the PE also. It leaks some at the edges but damn thing will open some on really bumpy roads. Won't get another one for my next truck.

Retract is the way to go, or if you're willing spend a little more, powertrax is what I have on my 2012 FX4 and I love it. Zero leaks and can open and close the gate without opening the cover. Retract has a lock, powertrax doesn't need one, only moved by the motor. Both are infinitely adjustable along the track.

my only issue with the rectacable covers is losing those inches of an already pretty small bed.

I have the bakflip g2 and really like it. For the most part it is completely dry. My f150 has the tailgate step so the water seeps in from the area it sits in the tailgate but not enough to worry about. I like ability to lock the tailgate and keep things in the bed without worrying. I didn't think I would like it but I do and recommend it

I have the Bakflip G2 on a GMC Sierra and while it leaks a little in pouring rain, I don't think any of the sectional types are completely waterproof. It's got 4 hard polymer sections that cannot be easily cut. If someone wants to get in it, they will have to work.
