I'd like to know how well their new "gator-shell" coating holds up. I am pretty disappointed in the durability of my HD, but I do love it.

Very nice indeed. Should be a redfish machine.

They are nice but very pricey for its size. I think the solo skiff is priced better

That thing is sweet! I just bought a SUP to fish off of when I dont take the boat out. I sold my KC and bought a Imagine Angler. I went RotoMolded since I would be launching mostly on side of the road and what not. The first few trips have been awesome. I much prefer standing, and can sit on my ice chest when need be.

I really hope we see this design get more widespread, and not cost an arm and a leg. Not being able to stand and fish easily is a deal breaker for me in a kayak but the ones stable enough to do that cost more than a boat.

It's funny-I never sit in my boat. I never stand in my yak(s).

Bote did a video on these in Venice. Pretty cool rigs.

If you're worried about kayaks costing more than boats prepare to shite a chicken, that Bote Rover, rigged as you see pictured, will set you back around $6000.

It looks every bit of that. It's carbon fiber? I don't know WTH it is, just asking. The racing SUPs are carbon, and fat (not quite) like that.

I had a smile for that guy, he literally pulled it out of the "wrapper" right there. I had to say something. He went to Stanislaus in BSL. I hope he got fired up. Didn't look plug and play, but I'm sure you research the frick out of a $6k toy. He said it was the first one in town. There's a Bote shop on 30a in Grayton, but this was not a display model.

Not really shocking, I’ve already researched solo skiffs and they are up there too. I’m sure a couple grand is in the motor, so it’s really only a couple steps up from a high end yak.

I’m more commenting on the frustrating trend that standing up to fish seems to be some unattainable goal for the market at the lower range.

There was packaging everywhere, it had never been wet. Hope his bliss didn't turn into a will not start nightmare.

Is it really though? I stood just fine in my $600 Ascend FS12T. The NuCanoe Flint is $999 and looks to be a barge in terms of stability. There's a few sub-$2000 pedal drives that are stable enough to stand in as well.

Always wondered how easy it is to paddle/pole yourself and fish at the same time. especially in a wind.

Can stand in the outback fine, but I want a motor

I stand and fish all the time in my kayak, an old town predator mx. There are plenty of kayaks now that are sub-$1k or close to it that are plenty stable enough to stand and fish in.
