But she doesn't care if I buy more

I explain to her that my sons will inherit them one day. And guns do not go down in value. As long as she doesn't have to shoot them its good.

I'm ok with her not shooting. I dont force the issue, but I offer. She'll come around one day.

You shoot at Fits? Bought some ammo there on Thursday, but I didn't peek into the range. Is it alright?

Anywhere else to shoot in town?

FITS in Slidell?

That's the only indoor range in the area. There's Honey Island which according to a post earlier today, will be reopening FINALLY on the 15th. They have a nice setup out there with steel targets on both the rifle and pistol range.

FITS only has 6 or 7 lanes and is only 25 yards long. I've been there to shoot twice and browsed their gun and ammo selection a few times. They're not very friendly or helpful people at all. Maybe if you frequent there a lot and they know you they're better, but I always get the feeling they just want to get me in and out with no small talk or any motivation to be friendly.

My wife never was interested in shooting, practically begged her to go with me when we first got married. After the shooting in December, she told me she wanted to learn. I have let her try the Ruger 9mm and surprisingly she reacted pretty well she has text me pictures of pink ones she wants. I guess the next purchase is for her.

Unfortunately, I concur with this assessment.

Hence, why I will be submitting my information and taking the required courses soon to become a Range Officer at Honey Island Shooting Range.

I feel the same way at precision. Everybody there has a loaded gun in their hip with 17 knives in their pockets but god forbid you walk in their with a closed slide.

I'll be getting my gun this week and I want to fire it the day I pick it up. I've been researching this purchase so damn long and I'm really looking forward to having it. I picked up some ear protection and went by FITS to get ammo since it was the only place I could find with it. I got JHP, but I'll target shoot with it since its all I have.

Probably just go by there and shoot most of the box. I'm really looking to learn about pistol safety and such, but until I can get my LEO friend to teach me I'll just go to the range and play with it. I'm not really sure how the LEM trigger works. No decocker, safety, hammer...I'll just keep it pointed down range and make sure I empty it.

Love to join Honey Island when it gets up.

You're probably not the reason for that policy. The noobs who walk in w a loaded gun and ignorantly point it at the guys behind the counter is the reason.

Women tend to be better shots with pistols than men cuz you are supposed to lean forward when shooting. Women's tits give them an advantage regarding this.

Surprisingly, the opposite is one of the biggest problems girls have when they start shooting. I heard an instructor tell me that this is because men have much more upper body strength and women have much more lower body strength. Men are more likely to lean forward when shooting so they won't tip back from recoil.

But most women are better shooters than men. The reasons: patience and a lack of stubbornness. Men are too set in their ways to accept any constructive criticism whereas women are ready to learn and accept direction very well.

Absolutely right on that one bapple.

I learned that this weekend. My wife listened and did everything exactly like I told her.

Then I go and shoot and fall back into every one of my bad habits I have been trying to break.

What gun are you getting?

Surprised you didn't just go with a revolver.

NIB P2000 357SIG V2. I have a S&W 38 J-frame but it's not inspiring to shoot. I've counted on it, makes me smile to pop caps, but I really think this 357 is going to be a blast.
