I agree they are not the best spokes people for the 2nd amendment, but I don't consider law abiding citizens exercising their rights to be "Armed Open Carry Extremist".
I think this came from Texas where open carrying a pistol is illegal, so they have no choice but to tote long guns to make their point.

Tools, maybe so, but I like the option of open carry. Just like I like the option of 30 or more rounds in a magazine, a colapsable stock, a pistol grip, and even a bayonet lug if I feel like a stabbin somethin. I like to have options and not have them taken away.

Going shopping with a loaded rifle for self defense would have been frowned upon at pretty much any point in American history. I would have looked at these guys like they were stupid when I was 5 and had never heard a liberal word in my life. It's making us normal gun owners look like Rambo wanna be's.
