So stupid the Swiss government encouraged that guy to carry. They even give Swiss "militia" ammo. But hey, I guess there is a dodge city bar in a Zurich.

FYI, I don't OC, I CC. I will never tell others where they can or cannot carry if they so choose. Infringement is infringement.

Nobody is telling them what to do. People are voicing displeasure with their actions because they are rightly inferring that the net result of their actions will likely be more infringements right here in America. Not in Switzerland, so I have no fricking clue what those pictures are doing in this thread.

Open carry is not the problem. Liberal propaganda for the last 50 years is the problem. Many posters here repeat many of the liberal bs anti 2a talking points.

The second amendment is only as solid as the justices who sit on the Supreme Court will interpret it. It's a PR war. SOme of thes dumbasses who think they are protecting the second amendment by open carrying in restaurants just to make a point are helping to lose the PR war. They are against us, not for us. They just don't know it.

I agree with Rog here.

Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD in this case.
Doing more to hurt our cause than to help it IMHO.

Bingo...scaring soccer mom and their precious little kids is not going to bring anything good. Amendments are not written in stone and the instant the anti's feel they have enough votes it will be changed. Antagonizing people by rubbing their nose in it is a fool’s game.

Have to side with Downshift on this one. And I open carry, conceal carry, and just plain carry about 90% of the time. You aren't doing the 2nd amendment any favors walking around with your AR at Home Depot or some chain restaurant.
You are providing great photo ops and propaganda for the libtards who want to demonize gun owners. Don't know why it's so hard to understand this.

They are fricking it how? They are not breaking the law. You are falling in line with what the liberal media wants you to, to believe its socially unacceptable to walk around with a gun.

You can't "frick" the 2nd amendment by following the 2nd amendment

By this logic you support Westboro Baptist group protesting at a soldier's funeral.

It is 100% legal what they are following the 1st Amendment.

Yep.

I don't want these asshats being the public representatives of the 2nd amendment and anybody who does is severely mistaken on how to support something. Go ahead and keep toting your rifle around to "prove a point" and see where it gets you. I don't care if it's legal. It's disrespectful and it will draw the kind of attention that us normal gun owners don't want.

Point is, this country and some of you have been so beat down by liberal propoganda and pussification that seeing someone with a firearm is now scary and a violation of ones feelings. Open carry is American, always has been. Now, we are losing on all fronts due to incrementalism and the fear of losing more rights. As the Constitution is written no one can frick the 2A except a Constitutional Convention, but hey, most of us have let the Fed and States create unconstitutional law already.

ETA: What is truly worrisome is the fact that simply exercising ones rights while being peaceful, causing no harm and breaking no law will cause people to call for more laws to change. Inch by inch.

Carrying firearms all day has never pushed the limit in this country, well until about the 1960's.

So strolling into the local hardware store with a M14 across your back would have not got some women to freak out in 1959???

It's always been stupid. Always will be unless your in post Katrina New Orleans.

Because at one point people understood a firearm was just an object that many good people carried. Now, gun owners are demonized. Its never been stupid. But your comparison of post katrina NOLA to open carry is very stupid.

And its likely not an m14, probably an m1a...you know, the semi auto version.

How can you not see that this is giving ammunition to the other side? Swap backdrops and put beards on those guys and it looks like a street corner in Baghdad before we ran over it to somebody who doesn't know better.

How can you not see that giving up your right to carry is giving into the other side? You just believe in giving things up in fear of them being vocal about challenging the your constitutionally protected right. You would rather limit the law than lose it? That is your stance. Your youth leads you to believe that giving a little is ok. The fact is, our gun rights have been attacked for the last 40 years, and incrementalism is their path.

how about my G19 on my side while I pump gas at night? I like the option to OC when I feel the need.
