I was thinking of getting one for the truck/boat. Do they work well? Which ones have plenty of power to jump a truck or boat up? How often do you have to recharge them?

Yes. Great. Many of them you can use as a battery to charge your phone or what not also.

i've had one for 4 years now. Still going strong. Has a lithium battery so no need in keeping it charged unless you use it. I use mine all the time around the mechanic shop and carry it with me on fishing trips just in case.

I have the original small jump box made by Micro-Start

One of the best things you can keep in your vehicle besides fuel. I paid $80 for one from walmart and it jumped started a silverado 2500. Anything smaller is cake. Mine has teo usb ports and a flashlight with emergency strobe.

Guy at the launch swore by his and said it cranked his diesel on multiple occasions.

All wives and daughters should have one honestly. No need to worry about someone else helping them if their battery dies.

Fortunately/Unfortunately few modern cars will run with a dead battery meaning if it won’t hold a charge jumping it isn’t going to get you far.
I have the same noco I keep in the boat but if my alternator won’t keep battery at 12.1 the boats not moving.

if you look on the net you can find some kind of reviews on them. I think the ones made for jumping off diesels are like 14000 watts or amps or something like that

Depends on the size of the engine. It references a 3L diesel which is very possible.

My wife keeps one in her car and it’s saved me a few trips out to her office when she leaves her lights on. Well worth it.

Absolutely. They are worth much more than what you can get one for. Have used mine many times.

I have had one of these for about 2 years. It will jump off my V8 Tundra. The majority of the times I use it are for ATV, Riding Mower, Boat, etc. Usually things I own that the battery has discharged due to lack of use. It's a hell of a lot easier to use than jumper cables or a traditional battery jump pack.

I bought mine on sale from Amazon for $79.99. If your thinking about buying one I would wait until July 15-16 and see if Amazon puts them on sale for Prime Day.

If you get one big enough it will.

The fact that these don’t come standard in cars (built in to a charging port in the car) is a disgrace by car companies. Every car should have one as they make jumper cables completely useless

You dang right they are worth every cent. Have jumped off everything from a lawn mower to a D7 Dozer and a 400 series Cat excavtor with mine. Stays in my truck or on my boat.
