So thermacell is working until the last 30 minutes of shooting light. After that it seems like even it can't keep the skeeters off of me. Fresh pad changed out with less than an hour run time on it when I got over run. So is there anything else to try or do I have to go back to heavy gloves, facemask and a jacket when its hot as balls.

Have you tried five thermacells yet?

I haven't found anything. I know a guy that "re-charges" his Thermacell pads with strong permethrin. May work better, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I’ve never had one fail me

Although I’m not real sure what kinda cancer I’ll end up with for breathing it in all this time

This made me laugh.

But Saturday I was watching the game on my patio and I had two thermacells, one in my lap and an Off candle surrounding me. Still got a couple mosquitoes.

All joking aside would a couple be more effective? I'm getting killed by all the mosquitoes.

I spray down with repel tick defense, red can. Then use thermacell when on stand or in blind. Works well for me.

In bow season I wear light pants and shirt with a big tamer mosquito pants and jacket. Helps for the super skeeters

i usually just take one of the little pads and place it under my tongue to absorb into my body. skeeters usually stay off me then

You could try cider vinegar. Supposedly works.

Been using Cutter Outdoor Fogger. I spray a solid line around the top edge of the blind/walls and mosquitos are virtually gone the entire hunt. Raid Yard Guard is the same thing.

I may try it, I don't physically react to mosquito bites anymore but it is really hard to be still with one trying to crawl down my ear canal.

100% deet, little spot behind each ear and on my shirt and pants legs. Never see a skeeter.

Mosquitos will be terrible this weekend. I'm looking for ideas besides spray to keep those things away.

Go with two and also get a bug tamer suit.
