Was going to take my son to plink with the 22 tomorrow. We usually do FRC but just noticed they’re closed on Mondays

it’s fine just normal chance of being next to idiots. I’m not sure how it’s still open though

They actually weed out the real sketchy characters lol. I’ve shot next to some interesting folks at FRC as well. Typical BR crowd is hard to avoid unfortunately.

I shoot there often. I have never felt unsafe there. There is usually a range officer in each the range, not just watching from a security feed. Pricing on range ammo isn't to bad. I would recommend it.

Well since I didn’t have a case for my 22 they wouldn’t even let me bring it in the door. FRC gives me a loaner …. So I guess they won’t get my business today

consider the alternative to that policy with the population of Baton Rouge and environs and you’ll likely agree it’s the right thing to do. No offense but that’s common sense

I don’t mind the case policy, and several of BR’s finest residents happened to be walking in behind me. FRC has the same policy, but they’ll give you a loaner when you walk in. I need to just got buy a few. I had a bunch of them but lost them in the flood 10 years ago and just never felt like replacing them

The most fun I’ve had at any range is when I bring an M1 Garand and fire away. Other shooters will come and peek at it. The ping when the enbloc clip ejects will almost always bring attention to my station. Love it.

Ended up going to Precision… the people were very nice but the range seemed pretty run down
