There's a card of a good guy at our camp in woodville. I know that doesn't help you out right now.

Awesome. I assume it was cold enough last night to preserve the meat?

Did he find it right by that pond? Old timers always say they run straight to water when wounded.

Was it still alive? Looks like someone had to slit its throat.

I've trained my Boykin to track and he's found 6-7 over the last two years. It's awesome to watch him work. Fortunately for my nerves, there hasn't been a big buck on the line, but when it inevitably happens, it's good to know that he'll be ready.

its an awesome feeling to have a dog find one.. i shot this deer earlier this year and we found ZERO blood. It was my first deer with a bow and my buddy brought his dog over. the dog found it on a rope 100 yards away laid up dead in a place i never would have found it. Sorry for hijack..but its a great feeling to have the dog find one you couldnt. The dog is as excited as you are!

The dog was Dusty I believe. He gives 100% credit to the dog, that the deer wouldn't have been found if not for that cur. Highly, highly recommended.
