I met a guy when I was about 14 years old that forged his on Damascus blades.
I worked with him for a couple of days to learn a little bit But he ended up getting sick and dying.
I learned a little bit about the forging but I really wanted to learn how he did all his leather and handle work

I'm fixing to get my dad to send me some pics of my Damascus knives I got from this guy I was talking about earlier.
He did unbelievable work and was very reasonable. I only paid $400 for three Damascus skinning knives.
one had a walrus penial bone for the handle the other two were of stag and ivory and brass all natural spacers no synthetics

Damascus is beautiful but it has to be forged, and that's a whole 'nother thing.

One of our lab techs was a blacksmith and he forged me two damascus knives for cheap and they are my favorites.
He forged them out of old metal files because he said the old files had very hard steel.
