Going down for a hunting trip in a couple of weeks. Any spots I should hit?
ETA: We are planning on mainly cooking but wasn't against going out to grab a bite for one of the meals.

A short drive up the road is Houma. There you will find the best chain restaurants La has to offer.

Pizza express has surprisingly good pizza, and I believe they even deliver down the road to cocodrie.
Coco marina has the restaurant opened back up now. I only went there once since it opened, it’s decent but nothing special.
There’s really not a lot to offer. I would plan on cooking. You can pick up some oysters and/or shrimp while you’re down there and plan on cooking that. That’s probably your best option.
Edit: Depending on which way you come in, Bayou Blue Poboys is basically on the corner of 182 and 316 in Houma. They’ve got a pretty damn good roast beef poboy and their other food is pretty good too. You might try to stop there on your way in or out if it works out… but don’t plan on eating that roast beef poboy on the road, it’s super messy and there’s a ton of gravy.

Sportsman’s paradise near Robinson Canal has good food but $$ and only takes cash or check. Other than that Coco Marina is your only other option. If you don’t mind driving back to town there’s plenty in Houma but you looking at 25-30 min drive each way.

Dugey’s deli just opened. They do happy hours and have music every now and then. I haven’t heard anything bad about it.

Coco is abt it down there. Sportsman is closed forever. There’s a food trailer in Chauvin called Paw Coon’s Jammin’ Grill that has really good food. They have lunches and grill to order stuff too.

What about Schmoopy's and Ceana's over in Dulac? Are they still open?

Used to have a camp there and that fat bitch Connie was the reason we left. Never met a more inhospitable person in the service business.
Is she still around or has her weight finally caught up to her?

Ceana’s is the cleanest restaurant in terrebonne parish. They have pretty good food as well, not fancy mind you but good. It’s still open

I believe they’re both open. Kind of a far drive for Chauvin though. But Ceana’s doesn’t disappoint.

Depending on what part of Chauvin you referring to. If the north end, just drive back up to C'est Bon on Grand Caillou in Houma. If lower, then drive to the end to Coco Marina. Those are the only 2 places for eating AND drinking.

Can you be a little more specific. Fat, bitch, and Connie aren’t unique for Southeast Louisiana.

Stopped there 3 weeks ago… the one in Chauvin, not Houma.
