Heading down there around noon myself. Gonna try and stalk some reds. Maybe specks tonight. My brother caught 110 on the weekend last week so they are out there. All on plastics and almost on corks. They weren't holding on the bottom

Yes we went West. I think I'm done fishing during the day in the summer. It was really nice out there last night.

Caught 92 trout and a couple reds. Bite didn't turn on till mid morning.

I'm at LUMCON for 2 more weeks (big tower you see in Cocodrie), taking a wetland plant class and brought my 12' Ouachita so I'm limited to inshore... got any suggestions?

Saw a couple dudes catching some fish right across from Tradewinds in the little canal. They were using popping corks FWIW.

Go up to where the Petit Caillou and Bayou Lapeyrouse used to meet. Drag the yak over the levee and fish any and all cuts. It'll be early week, but show a flag if possible.

I posted in the weekend results thread, but I'll mention it here too. Took yak Saturdau morning around LUMCON. Water was pretty dirty (not horrible) but we had a slack tide all morning and early afternoon. Saw several tails sticking out the water but they were not aggressive. I caught 2 and my nephew caught 6. Saw plenty of big white shrimp fwiw.
