Explain to me why those clubs on the river kill those giant arse deer and don’t have to run dogs? Explain why the have the numbers?

Habitat. Location. Etc.

The mississippi river has giant bucks down both sides of it from the source to the sunshine bridge.

They dont want to and they dont need to. This isnt complicated. A shite box 100 acre lease in pine tree land isnt the same thing as 100 acres in Tensas on the river.

Members are too lazy. Running dogs is a lot of work. We’ll be dropping the tailgates next weekend.

Good to hear.

I’m sure you learn a lot from them I.e. their travel routes.

Like I said, I’m not against it, however it did make my time as a still hunter hunting land that was bordered by dog hunters miserable. Especially on the opener of bow season and I’d hear dogs being ran.

That said, It was best I got out of there and did my still hunting elsewhere and let the dog hunters do their dog hunting there. Voila

I like it when someone who feeds deer from a trough says people that hunt with dogs are trash. Dog hunting has been going on for hundreds of years across the globe. Feeding deer in a trough and watching them with cell cameras though…

God forbid someone practice another style of hunting than watching bait from a box blind.

the thread was started in good fun...but to the point...keep your dogs off other peoples property that don't want them there

there is no respect for others property when you don't control your animals...or pick them up promptly...parents don't teach that anymore I guess

probably the first ones to want to shoot a pitbull or trespasser if they wanders into their yard...

We gave them hell this morning. A good buck got shot at and missed. We also kept our dogs on our property. Mind blowing I know, but not every dog man is a POS.

I've defended dog hunting because we did that when I was a kid and I love the sounds of chasing hounds. I've also killed a few in front on dogs... but this year the dogs pissed me off.

We worked hard on my place this year with plots and new stands and had deer coming morning, afternoon and of course night at most stands. When the season opens it's been dogs all day and deer only at night.
Pissed. Why can't MS allow 2-3 weekends of still hunt before the let the dogs out?

All the MS legislature ever considers is an all out ban on hounds. Compromise! Just give still/primitive hunters a few weeks. Then let the dogs out.

I love em both.

Because MS would lose that lil bit of revenue if they did the logical thing and not open dog season the same as gun season!

I’ve been saying this same thing for 16yrs now. In the region I’m in they give bow hunters 30+ days of no dogs, why not give gun hunters 15ish days of no fricking dogs at beginning of gun season!!!!!!

It’s all about the $$$$ and not about the game. Change my mind!!
