It’s been two and a half years since the boat was manufactured. Might not be as slam dunk as you think. But good luck and I hope it works out.

Prescription does not start to run until the defect is discovered. Not saying it's a slam dunk but this isn't my first rodeo.

Regardless, that’s pretty shitty of Alumacraft to not at least attempt some sort of repairs.

Unfortunately, that's just how this kind of thing goes. If it's not under warranty they aren't going to do anything without a lawsuit being filed.

Is this sort of like a lemon law?

Good luck to you. Hope you get the problem fixed.

I've heard a ton of complaints about the welds on Express hulls cracking, but I have two buddies with 22ft CC Express boats with no issues, another buddy with a 16ft Express without any issues. But where there's smoke, there's fire I guess. There wouldn't be all those complaints without merit.

This is the insane part. Guys, if you deal with ANY company that wont transfer warranty with title, RUN! It's the biggest scam around that somehow changing a boat from a father to a son (example) will void a warranty. How does stamping papers at the DMV make their product void?

Sue their arse and turn make their attorneys do so much work they'll beg you to stop.

Put a link here to their comment page so we can bombard them. Find other groups that have the issue and try to class act their arse!

Give em hell! We are behind you

Hi we have a 2016 alumacraft 2072 with several cracks along the welds on the deck of the boat. Very disheartening to say the least and we are very careful not to take the boat out in rough waters. Feel free to contact me in regards to the issue.

This is why people hate lawyers.

Might as well class action them.

Because they try to protect their clients' interests in the faces of companies who don't honor the integrity of their products?

Are people supposed to just roll over and eat the cost when companies sell products with (presumably) known defects?

They hate lawyers because a company won't take ownership and fix their shite when they know that they fricked up?

Don't be a fricking idiot.

Yeah, there are some slimey POS lawyers out there that chase ambulances and file frivolous suits. But that’s not all of them. I used to have a negative opinion of lawyers in general, until I finally needed one.

Indeed. This is typically how it goes.

Understandable sentiments, there are a lot of bad ones that give the profession a bad overall reputation.

So in this situation what would you do say oh well and bring the boat to the dump? Not to mention I'm not even doing this for money as it's my Dad.

May not mean anything actually coming from an attorney, but as one poster above said, people hate lawyers until they need a good one. Just have to hope you don't pick a bad one when you need one.
