you can get these knockoffs all day on wish or ebay for $30-$40. They do not have the specs they claim. I've bought a few for my son to play around with, the video and audio quality is definitely inferior to a GOPro, but for him it doesn't matter. Battery life is his biggest complaint. They don't last long.

I have one. The 1080p is only at 30 frames per second. If you are going to get a knockoff get the 4K version. It will do 1080p in 60frames per second. Audio is terrible on either. They have terrible exposure issues. Especially in bright sunlight. I made a few cool videos of our vacation and boating adventures with mine. Just video montages with a music layover since the audio is so bad. Mine is the Apeman 4K. Amazon top seller.

Seems like most of the time that's the case. There's a ton of those cheap knock off GoPros around but usually most of them do terrible in low light, a ton of glare in bright light, and decent filming when conditions are ok. At $30 they're decent but you can get used/refurb GoPro Hero 3's for around $75-100. You'd get alot better picture, a ton more accessory support, wifi/bluetooth capabilities, etc.

Tell me a little about this Rando. I really never considered one of these until this thread popped up. Going on a fishing trip with pops in a couple weeks and think this might be cool to have and leave the phone in a dry spot. Buy from Amazon? Worth it for some fishing trip type stuff?

Bought a Lightdow a few years ago. Used it, liked it. Put it up for a while without using it. When I tried to use it again the wifi mode freezes the camera. Buddy had the same problem.
