16” threaded barrel
Dead Air Mask, tax stamp, trust
Volquartsen extractor and trigger
Decent rimfire scope and mount/rings
Ruger 10-shot rotary mags
Guess it depends on if you are going hunting or tacticool. If the latter, get a new collapsible stock of choice and some bigger mags… though I haven’t had much luck with the BX25 or aftermarket large mags. The ruger 10 shot rotary mags work great.

I did the same thing last year. Started with a standard 10/22 my Dad gave me a few years back.
Kidd 16”, stainless, bull barrel
Boyds AT-One thumb hole stock
Ruger BX trigger
Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25 x 56 optic
Harris bipod
Getting under 1/2” groups at 50 yards using SK Pistol Match ammo. Best group was .19” at 50 yards. Hit all 8 on the KYL target so any misses are on me.
Probably have $1,200 into it but it is a sweet shooter. Definitely more tweaking can be done and other parts purchased but this is all I want out of it so I am done.

How much do you intend to spend??

Trigger first. I had Brimstone Gunsmithing do a trigger job on my 10/22 and the difference was night and day.

Is the Ruger BX trigger single or double stage?

Contact Clarks in Haughton. They are best on 10/22s

Check out rimfirecentral.com. They have several forums on 10/22, including one for Ultimate 10/22 build suggestions and ideas.

Strip it down completely and replace everything but the receiver

Plinking at the range. Probably let my nephew borrow it for hunting

I did optic, trigger, chassis, barrel, and suppressor.

10/22 rotary mags were made of plastic last time I looked. Plastic degrades over the years and I decided not to buy a Ruger 10/22. I do have a Ruger ranch rifle in 223, manufactured after 2010, set up with a low lite scope for hog hunting

Has there ever been a full metal 10/22 magazine?
