So we have goats and our neighbor wants us to keep a donkey with them tk protect against coyotes.

How can a donkey catch a small fast dog?

Is the coyote just oblivious to the donkey and gets jawed by a hoof?

Or can a donkey chase one down?

Awesome! Not gonna lie, I leaned up against one that everybody swore was de-energized and I made pretty much the same sound as that dog.

It's kinda awesome dude shared another person's video, added a side story and got a thousand times as many shares

That's his model with everything. Sometimes he gives credit, most of the time he doesn't.

So i see your vid and I assume that a donkey will just hang out at night with the goats.

If they are just moseying around, a coyote won't attack them like Clint Eastwood; It will walk around the herd and pick which one it wants, then easily take the weakest one.

The donkey probably won't chase the coyote like a cheetah would....it will just wait for the coyote to get behind him and boom....kick the crap out of it and then maul it to death.

I assume the hooves are the way it kills.

am i close to correct on this?

My mom's dog got into her neighbor's field a few years ago and was "playing" with the goats. One good kick to the head from their donkey and I had to bury him. There are SEVERAL coyotes near their field and they don't lose goats to them. That donkey is always watching and is kind of an arse to be honest.

When I was a kid I lived in Cheyenne, WY. My dad was the manager at KNIE radio station. He covered a story about some hunters that killed this ranchers mule. When the game wardens arrested them, they swore it was a mule deer. I think they were from the east coast somewhere.

Great Pyrenees.

I have had one of these at my place for the past 2 weeks. I've taken her food and water but finally found out where she lives.

Going to try and run over today and get her back home.
