4 wheeler not running good question
Kawasaki Bayou 400, mid 1990s but low hours overall.
Flooded in 2016 but I took all steps to get it back running better than before at that time.
It sat up for 11 months post flood. Would then only run on full choke. I added some Lucas thinking it would clear up performance but actually worsened because must have gummed up in the carb?
I had a guy recently come over and clean the carb, new air filter and plugs, in line fuel filter is clear, new primer part because gasket was bad.
It will start and idle all day off of choke, will take MAYBE half throttle on full choke, will not take any throttle off full choke without stalling out and dying.
I am in the process of running a full can of SeaFoam through it but there has been no change in performance.
Thoughts?

Carb not properly cleaned. Take it off clean again. Do a you tube search for cleaning a carb with lemon juice. You boil it on the stove and it is able to penetrate through any remaining gunk in small orifices you can't see. Works every time.

you will never get that carb cleaned. I've tried several times disassembling that very same carb and dipping it in Berrymans carb cleaner in a bucket and still couldn't get the main jet to clear. Finally just bought cheap Chinese carb off ebay and been fine ever since. LINK

thanks.
I would consider myself pretty handy but not a mechanic by any stretch.
How difficult is is to remove old carb and replace with a new one?
(I do have the original owners manual)

You can replace a carb then. It's pretty self explanatory once you start taking it off. But look up how-to videos if in doubt. Won't take long.

Soak for 6 hours instead of 30 minutes.
If the carb doesn't dissolve, it'll run fine

Carbs for those models are too cheap to try and clean and make right. Buy a new one and roll on.

the carb was cleaned but he didnt take it fully apart and clean out all the tiny pin hole passages, you cant just do it with a can of carb cleaner and think its done, it needs to soak overnight in a can of berrymans chem dip, then use the can of carb cleaner to blast all those passages clear.

on a side note, did you replace the air filter? if its a paper filter, after they get wet the dont let air flow correctly, if its foam it can be in serious need of cleaning and/or replacing

I have different sizes of wires I stick in jets to clean them out after soaking. Obviously you have to take them out first, but they always get cleaned
