I bought the absolute cheapest 105 ah 36V off of Amazon- it is a Chins brand ??
Been on my offshore boat going on 3 snapper seasons and works perfectly.

I purchased a single 36v 50ah Power Queen on Amazon. Thinking I should have gotten the 100ah battery. But will try this one for now.
Cool. I’d be interested to see how it works. Good deal man.

Will update once I get it hooked up.

I have 4 LiTimes 12v 100 ah. Couldn’t be happier. Got them during Christmas in 2024 on flash sale. Think they were $120 each. I have the Ultrex 36v trolling motor and have ran. It all day in wind and have never seen it below 90 percent.
The Bluetooth is pretty cool Download the app scan the barcode and you should be good
Never heard anything bad about power queen either
The dealer wanted to sell me Ionics or Dakotas and they were ridiculously expensive.
Lead for cranking. Lithium everything else. Get you a Noco Genius onboard charger and you are good to go Baw

I swapped to a 36v 100AH Epoch on my bay boat 3 years ago. I can run spot lock offshore for 7-8 hours a day and never get below 80% charge.

Very happy with my first trip after the switch. Gobs of power used all day running banks and downscanning creek channels. Put them on charge when I got home and hardly touched the needle.

Preach brother
With LA batteries I always prayed we would finish the trip with enough battery.
Never could get through the year without battery problems prior to switching.

quote:The only reason I bought an Ionic crank battery was the proven BMS and the fear mongering going on at BBC. I went a good bit cheaper on the TM batteries. No way would I spring for the top brands for that use.

Why did you go to 3-31's and not a single 36V ?
Posted on 3/2/26 at 10:53 am to SmokinBurger
I recommend getting 3 - 12V lithium batteries vs. 1 36 volt. Why? Bc your TM will still work if 1 shits the bed plus it's easier to replace 1 12V vs 1 36V if you're out fishing or on a fishing trip.

My Cat’s bilge area is set up for two batts on left side and two on right side for weight balance.
Plus,as just said, if one shits the bed you still have power for the TM

Having a single 36v with only two connections cleaned up half the wires out my boat.
I just carry the small jump starter for a cranking battery backup.

I did the same, 36V Li Time with BT. Although not much use on it yet. It came with the new charger.
I got mine last year and have no issues with it whatsoever. I've got a 12v 100ah that runs my electronics and its been great too.

I toyed with the idea of going lithium for the tmotor side and stay lead for cranking when I was buying 4 new batteries last November. But I kept reading stuff about how it upsets the ride so I didn't do it. And I don't care about gaining 5mph or whatever the boat would pick up from weight loss. Not a top speed guy. 70 is PLENTY for me.

I definitely didn't do it for speed. Some report a small loss in speed due to weight loss in the rear. I have toyed with adding weight, but I can't max out my boat as it is.
