I find it interesting that your boat has fiberglass seachests, and lots of the freemans have aluminum seachests

Keep doing what your doing it looks great. I totally get why he would want aluminum if he is going to make some trick or reassessed compartment for tackle that's great and saves some space.

My lips are sealed.

But it’s definitely legit.

Aluminum seachest vs fiberglass seachest. Only reason I went that route is I was more comfortable building out of fiberglass than I was welding. Don’t have much experience with that.

Well my week working on the boat is coming to an end. We got a lot of stuff started and decided how it’s going to be done.

Found a lot thats Going to have to be reworked also..

To use the screwless gemlux rod holders will have to notch the wall where it comes up under the funnel a bit.

Also going to have to build a recess into the ttop for the gemlux outrigger bases.

Started insulating the fishbox. Using 1” and .5” foamboard and will cover that with starboard and seal up.

Finished up the first seachest I’m stoked with how it came out.

Spent most of the day figuring out best way to engrave the logo in the acrylic.

That seachest is like my baby.

Forgive my ignorance but what does a seachest do?

I’m guessing it pulls water in and sends to live wells and wash down?

So this boat has steps in it which aerate the bottom of the hull to reduce surface tension. Problem is that aeration has a tendency to airlock pumps whose pickups are behind the steps. So the seachest take that water and acts as a knockout pot where the air rises to the top and out the 3/4” vent. An added benefit is that the livewell pumps are continuously submerged in water therefore constantly being cooled.

The true mark of not half-assing it.

I've been putting off a full electrical rework and I think yall have finally given me the inspiration to start it

Making progress installing rod holders and cup holders in the gunnels and have one of the tackle trays welded it up and installed.

No flow through. Any water that gets in there would drain out the weep holes inside of that seating. Ideally

How is it being supplied? That doesn’t look big enough or have enough supply to run 2 pumps together to me?
