I have a Q Thunder chicken. Lots of hate in the suppressor world for the guy that owns Q, but it's a good product. I bought through silencer shop and talked to the guy for a long time, he recommended it for what I wanted, which was primarily hunting with my son, then shooting hogs at night. My ATF paperwork only took 4 months too, so I got lucky there.

Agree with way south. I have the Q trash panda bc I wanted a QD mount so I could switch between guns. Now I want one can for every gun. I bought mine from interstate guns in Hammond using their silencer shop kiosk. Very easy process. The guy that helped me was very nice and informative but some of the other guys in there are snobs. Took about 100days. Now, I bought a el Camino by q in October and am still waiting. Overall I’m very pleased with it. I loaded nosler custom competition 220gr subs and get about 950-1000fps by chrono. The bolt cycling is definitely the loudest part of the whole firing process.

I have a PTP Tactical’s Master Chief on mine. It is pretty heavy but it is magnum rated so I can put it on my .300 win mag.
The quick detach system on this unit works really well. You change out your factory flash suppressor with the supplied PTP one and the suppressor locks on to the new unit without having to remove it.

I’ll add as to one of the reasons Q is so popular is that their mounting system is probably the best.

The quick mount was what I liked about the master chief. You don’t have those fine threads that build up with gunk or strip. It lines itself up and ratchets on.

Check out Dawn of Defense they have a website and also on Facebook. Owner is Ben Richardson very knowledgeable and will talk with you and help design what you want

The Q is designed so that the threads will never get carbon locked. There is a angled shoulder in front of the threads that prevent that. Plus it provides perfect alignment.
It’s a really neat system that’s being copied by many other companies.

I use a Silencerco Omega with the qd mounts. As far as the other poster who mentioned Interstate Guns, maybe with their kiosk it isn't bad, but I will never give them a dime of my business again. Countless hours on the phone with them to find out they screwed up suppressor paperwork after almost two years.

After going form 1 and building my own. You can build a quieter and better quality suppressor than you can buy. I'll never go Form 4 and buy a cookie cutter mass produced again. Actually feel I wasted a couple thousand dollars on ignorance with my first two name brands.

Why is that?

he's a douchebag
Q's marketing revolves around making fun of other companies. It's hilarious. They make good stuff though, I like everything I own from them

I met Kevin and Ethan. Kevin was actually kinda quiet. Ethan was a really nice guy.

Not surprising, I'd imagine that Kevin is just playing a character for the majority of the time. Just part of his brand/image
Ethan is definitely the brains of the operation. Really like Adam as well
