Do not like the Sciroccos bullets, do not seem to expand enough on impact.

I shoot 150 grain Remington premier core lokt ultra bonded. A little pricey but they do the job.

Third.

I shot some 165's and my rifle enjoyed them but said lets go back to the 150's cause it feels so right.

180 grain Winchester ballistic silver tips. Great for 200 yards and less. Shoot a Browning X-Bolt medallion.

I shot the Winchester ballistic tips out of my A-bolt for a few years. A couple of years ago I was shooting before the season and I couldn't get a group. So I brought a brand new scope and rings, same thing happen. I brought it to gun store and they told me the bullets were/ will warp my barrel. I changed to hornady and after a half box my rifle was in again.

Do they still make the 'Accelerator' round? My Dad had some when I was a kid. Plastic sabot held a .223 round in the .30-06 case. Serious muzzle velocity.

I could be wrong and probably am wrong, but I always suspected those Accelerator rounds left no rifling marks on the bullet itself because of the plastic sabot. Maybe they were outlawed?

Friend me on Facebook. If you have any issues with the trust, I can help. If you ever emailed me back at that old address, I just remembered that I never check it.

No idea, but my Dad said it was the perfect sniper round, because it couldn't be traced. Whether he was correct about that is another matter, but it does make sense.

Why buy complete here? A good 7.62x39 barrel and bcg will cost about $400ish together. Send barrel to ADCO to get cut, crowned, etc. for around $125ish. Use regular AR lowers with 7.62x39 AR mags. Read not having to SBR an additional firearms (save $200).

You may have to play around with buffer weight when troubleshooting though.

eta: here ya go baw:

bcg
