My 2019 Ram has been fantastic. Just strolled past 150k miles

We still hold onto our 2015 Suburban with 170K miles and it runs like a champ. We are committed to drive it until it dies and why not as maintenance costs are minimal compared to a new vehicle and the car has been paid off since we bought it.
If you must get your wife a new ride as maintenance/deterioration is an issue, I would recommend the Chevy/GMC Suburban/Yukon.

The new Honda Passports have gotten near 100% positive reviews. The Pilot is pretty much the same thing, a bit longer and heavier, but you're talking about a naturally aspirated V-6 drivetrain with a long history. I briefly toyed with going from a pickup to an SUV for grandkid reasons so I did a fair amount of research. I would be considering:
1. Honda Pilot
2. Highlander, I'm not sure about the new powertrains though. Nobody is.
3. Mazda CX90. Mazda appears to be as reliable (if not moreso) than the other big two Japanese brands these days. And their interiors punch above their weight class.

I left my house in 2024 to buy my wife a new Expedition.
I came home in a Honda Odyssey.
No regrets.

maybe settle on Grand Cherokee L or pathfinder new.
No disrespect but i wouldnt' touch either car.
GC has all kinds of issues and Nissan is a dumpster fire with longeivity questions. I think the Pathfinder also has a CVT which is a bad idea.

Just bought my wife a Honda Pilot after months of research.

What’s wrong with the new Sequoias?

Toyota is surprisingly having some major issues with their new engine lineup across the board. I think the new sequoia engine has a couple of recalls already.

Wife just bought the TX350 used with 20k miles. Has third row with decent room behind it. Time will tell on longevity. Its basically a Grand Highlander, but don't tell her that.......

I'm a huge Lexus GX and LX fan. Formerly had a GX460 and Currently have the new LX. I love them both. But, if you need a third row to use regularly i would avoid them. The third row isn't great and you lose all your storage space when they're up.

The new GX550 is a good looking SUV. Wish they would’ve put the 5.7 V8 in it but they are selling like crazy still

I go back and forth. I've had the 4.6 and 5.7 and loved them both but they were so underpowered for the application. I really enjoy the power from the TTV6 and hybrid setup but i am concerned about reliability as we're starting to see the recall hit Japanese made engines now.

Wife drives a 21 Expedition. No complaints. Almost ended up with a Telluride but I didn't care for the ride. Just hit 70k miles and put some fresh tires. Going to drive it until the wheels fall off.

Okay. I kind of agree with you.
But I might also lump the:
Atlas
Explorer
Traverse
Mazda
All in there as well. Modern suvs all have issues.
I just did a Pilot vs Pathfinder in my area.
AWD base model Pilot is 10k more than pathfinder. It really depends on how long you keep them.

But your wife isn’t cool in the carpool lane.

Wife has a 2023 Chevy Traverse, I've got no complaints with it so far.
We've got the captains seats in the 2nd row, and have two car seats back there with 2 kids under 3.
We pretty much leave the 3rd row folded down for additional storage, and just fold it up if/when we need to utilize it to fit extra people in the car.
If we had a family of 5, i'd probably have gone with something a bit bigger, but for our family of 4, the traverse has done it's job so far. Only have about 25k miles on it so far, but so far so good (knock on wood).
When we bought, the traverse was substantially cheaper than what an expedition, suburban, etc would have costed.
FWIW, in-laws have a Honda Pilot that has been abused for the last 15 years or so and just keeps on rolling. If we hadn't bought the traverse, i'd have no issues with the pilot either.
