The particular model of 22/45 Lite pictured in Bapple's post has been discontinued by Ruger. I tried and tried to find one a few months ago, but they just aren't out there. I finally found ONE, but the dealer decided he was going to keep it for now, hoping to later sell it as a "collector's" edition. Ruger replaced that model w/ a similar "Lite" version, but w/ a blued barrel shroud instead of gold. To bad......I really liked the looks of that model....

Browning buck mark, which I have, or ruger mark III. Can't go wrong with either.

I have a SR22 and a Heritage Arms revolver. Both are fun little plinkers. You could get both for your price range.

The Walther P22 gets some good reviews. Personally, I don't like because its mag release and slide safety work differently from all my other semi's.
