Archery season is right around the corner. I’ve been practicing with my Mach 30 daily out to 60 yards. What’s everyone using this year?

Mathews V3X, but no shots past 40 yards for me. I just won’t have shots longer than that where I set up.

28.5” draw length at 60#.
Sirius Apollos with 200 grain Tuffhead 2.0 single bevel broadheads with blood rings. Total arrow weight around 550 grains.

Shooting apollos as well. 350 spine, 26.5”, 100gr bh, 75gr insert, 3 fletch mini sabers. 434gr total. Deciding on tooth of the arrow solids or a mechanical.

Only shooting from 60 for practice. No shots on deer over 40.

If I switch to a lighter broadhead, it’ll be the QAD Exodus. Tooth of the arrow gets great reviews also.

Mathews Phase 4. 28.5 draw at 65 lbs. Right at 305 fps with a 410 gr arrow. Gold tip kinetic arrows with Magnus Stinger 100 gr broadheads. Been practicing out to 40 yards since that's the furthest I can get in my yard without shooting towards a daycare. I don't shoot past 30 at deer. I'm a nervous shite show when a deer walks up.

I am too.

Shooting from 60 has really tightened my groups at 20 and 30 to the point I don’t shoot for groups anymore that close.

QAD Exodus

I have been very happy with the exodus. Flies exactly like my field points, suspect because the swept back blades keep overall length the same. Blades are sharp and easy to change, and every shot has been a pass through at 485gr total.

Elite omnia 70#
Easton axis 5mm with 75grain outsert and old school muzzy or a rage hyperdermic.
Been shooting several times a week out to 60 since June. Like others don’t plan to shoot a deer that far but have found that it has really tightened my 30-40yd groups.
Also have been working in “cold” shot. Just leave the bow on the back porch and sling one arrow random during the day.
Also long hold where I set my timer on my phone for one min or min and a half and don’t shoot till it beeps.
I’m fired up and ready!!!

I spend a month or two shooting at a pie plate at 3 yards. It's helped me focus on my release and grip. Also helped me with getting the pin stuck under what I'm shooting at.

Shooting the same set up I’ve shot for years. Only change was a Carter Wise Choice 24 index release. Not getting rid of my lil goose it’ll be backup now.

Elite remedy 70# 29.5”
Black Gold Pro
Hamskea Trinity
Rip TKO 350, grim reaper pro/iron will single bevel 125s, Easton match collars, aae airazr
Tight spot airlock quiver
Ultraview button release

I’m jelly of the Mach 30, it’s the only one that has really tempted me of the last few years of flagship bows. The ec2 cam on all of the carbons hit the sweet spot of draw cycle vs speed for me

Mathews Phase 4. Couldn’t justify switching to the Lift this year. Sirius Apollo 300’s with a 100gr insert/outsert, and a 125gr iron will. Total weight is 508gr. I need to order some new strings and cables soon. Probably going to go with phantom bowstrings.

Mathews V3X 33
30" @ 65lbs
Sirius Gemini with 120gr Ethics Sleeve/Post
Mega Meats/SEVR 2.0/QAD Exodus 100gr

TAW 508 with 18% FOC

I keep my bow by the back door and will randomly walk outside and shoot anywhere from 1-5 arrows at 30 yards. If I am happy with my shot process that is all I will shoot. If something feels off I will shoot another round. I try to shoot during the last 1-2 minutes of legal shooting light at least a couple of times per week.

Matthews Creed 27.5" 65 Lb
Easton 6.5 tipped with original muzzy 100 gr 3 blades
Trophy Ridge peak 5 pin

Been practicing out to 60 but I limit myself to 40 yds while hunting. I find that practicing at 50 and 60 has really improved my groups at 40. I'm beyond ready to get in a tree.
