They went in dry on him if he payed 47 for a 1794. I was getting first offers lower than that (about 45) for 1794s. If you go 4x4, you shouldn't have any problem pulling up almost any boat, even on a slick ramp.
Vette guy,
Man, I would have loved to have a 6.2, but my last tundra was just too good to me. And the Crewmax is huge in the back. I also don't like the cylinder deactivation that the chevy has.

Saw a report on Jalopnik yesterday where the reporter said he managed 23 mpg out of the new 2.7 Eco motor. It was a crew cab truck and he had 4 people on board...but still...that seems quite underwhelming. The new trucks are 700 lbs lighter and the 2.7 seemed to be being positioned as the efficient motor...instead it's an over complicated entry level motor that barely beats the mpg of a modern V8.

That has to be msrp prices, the invoice prices leaked awhile back were almost 8-10k lower which is closer to what you can expect to be paying after negotiating.
Mpg numbers are supposed to be released in November.

Not many current models are gonna cost more than 43-44 unless you just can't negotiate
Paid $39k for my brand new FX4 2013. MSRP on this truck was $51.5k.

Ford does that with the sticker so you can talk them down to 48k and think you got a deal

if you compare the selling price of all the major trucks, ford is right on par for similarly equipped trucks....at least for the last few years
we'll see what happens when they try to start competitively sale pricing these once the first batch is gobbled up

Decent deal. 36 is where you should have gotten them too.

Dealers are holding tight on the 14's. I had to tell two dealers to piss up a rope this weekend.

DSD, I know. It's more of what I am getting out of the cost of the truck than anything. I personally feel for the money Ford offers the little things like the locking diff, tailgate step, bed extenders, etc. that appeal to me.

I get that. It's still crazy how after it's all said and done you are walking out the door at $48K for what the majority of the OB likes.

Interesting. I bet that will change here in a few months.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy a 14 unless they make a great deal on it. They will eventually want to move them.

That's not MSRP. The price referenced in the OP is MSRP.

They'll be more aggressive once they have a stock of 15's
Right now there isn't enough supply

The '15's look like the redheaded stepchild of a Ram and a Tundra. That front end looks exactly like the new Tundras. I cant believe Ford did this.

Cost for about $22K to manufacture - for those interested...

Thats because plants that manufacture the F150 accumulated 13wks of downtime to retool for the 2015s.

Does that include overhead, marketing, etc.?
