I have a Tahoe, Avalanche, a Camaro, and a Silverado in my driveway now. And have had nothing but chevy vehicles before these. Think my next one will be a Ford.

Looks like a Durango

I wasnt trying to split hairs. I just highlighted Dodge and happened to call it by the new name.
However, the point remains, the new Rams have a nicer interior than any other tuck on the market.

Meh. I could do without the tribal tattoos and other writing...

It's made to look like the top of a cowboy boot, and I would drive the frick out of a dodge Laramie longhorn.

I'm a GM dude, but those those vehicles are fricking horrible.

Yeah, you wee exactly right. Chrysler renamed all the Dodge trucks "Ram" as part of a marketing campaign.
I will say tha Range Rovers have the nicest interiors of any SUV. I need to see some years from Chrysler where there overall quality has really improved.
Driveshafts falling out on test drives don't help their case.

The Denali looks badass. I just bought the wife a 2013 Tahoe and she is already wanting to trade it in when they hit the dealership

This is true in regards to trucks. Except one caveat...
Chevy has to make some competition for the Ford Raptor. That thing is in a niche of its own without any foreseeable competition. Then again, this thread is about the SUVs so I will only digress a bit further.
GM also owns Ford's arse when it comes to performance cars. Ford has no answer to both the CTSv and Corvette (Z06, ZR1, and base models). I love their Mustang Boss 302 and GT500 but they still can't hang with the Vette. My digression is over/
I am very happy with GM stepping up in terms of interior design and technology. I do think they could've made the front look better but the exterior design will probably grow on me as does every new generation. Only time will tell.

Agree/ w your post 100%.
I tend to view truck-based SUVs as I do the trucks for obvious reasons.
I would add that I think Ford's engine program for trucks is well ahead of GM's but both are far ahead of the competiton.
Ford has no answer for Cadillac. They are trying with Lincoln, but the Lincoln's just don't have nearly the performance numbers.

Meh...I think chevy realizes they own the performance car market and are willing to concede the truck market. At least from a business standpoint I think thats what they should do. Trying to compete with Ford on/in every category is what got them in the mess they were in before.

Very solid point. I didn't even think about it this way.

I definitely agree with this too.

I don't get the truck wars.
Come out with a truck that works, get a few kinks worked out, and keep making the damn thing.
Consumers are really fricking up the truck market by buying new ones every 3 years and splooging their pants for cadillac interiors.

Trucks are where it's at for the domestics.
SUV net profit is something like $8K per unit, trucks aren't far behind.
Each point of market share is huge for these guys.
This, they have to keep changing and "improving".
When I say that Ram and Toyota have given up, I'm not saying they are bad vehicles. I'm saying that they aren't putting the dollars into r and d that Ford and GM are.
To GM and Ford, trucks and truck-based SUVs are a blood sport.

I have an 09 GMC, and I like it. IMO the GMT900 style was/is near perfection as far as exteriors go.
I do wish however that a truck that booked brand new off the lot for $41k had a better interior than a bunch of plastic thrown together.

I like them better then the new silverados and sierras. I've owned two GMCs and drove the fire out of both of them with few problems. I've owned 1 ford and have had soooo many problems. I'm a GM man for sure. I think the classic body style and 2007.5-2012 sierras look awesome, but I can't stand the 2013s.

GM completely owns the full size SUV market. Something like 75% share IIRC.

Spend any real time at a track and you couldn't be any further from the truth. Now stock, you are 100% right. But watch any local track and 99% of the time its a Mustang setting the records. Vettes do very well in the French races though.
